HP that is, Hewlett. Towards the end of the video, look at the idiots showing off the Firebird Trans-AM, Grand-Prix, etc... A childhood buddy of mine when we were teenagers couldn't afford a GTX nor Roadrunner, but he did build a respectable '68 or 9 Coronet with a 383 c.i.d., automatic. From child backyard mechanic to professional tech. in his latter teens. I learned a lot from him. He was the one who made sure the first clutch job I did to an Isuzu 5-speed went right, by telling me about R&R the pilot bearing.

The six pack hood on that 69 Roadrunner that said rat poison was very subtle... It was a big stab at Chevy big block engines because Chevy big blocks are known as ratt engines and small block GMs are known as mouse engines and I think it was totally kickass that he put that on there, because that's exactly what that is...a severe dose of rat poison coming at you you in Chrysler cubic inches...meep meep!

Actually no. In 69 1/2 they came out with the Road Runner with the 440 6 pack setup and it had that hood with the single big scoop. I know as I had a 69 Road Runner and bought one of the fiberglass hoods for my car. Other model cars had the side by side scoops but not the Road Runner.

Mopar's are so bad ass man,but Fu$k are they ever hard to turn over lol. They were so unique in the 60's & 70's with their cool colours like Plum Crazy,Petty Blue,Lime Green,Hemi Orange,Chrysler White, etc. & then of course the engines like the 318,340,383 Magnum,413 Wedge,426 Hemi,440 Super Commando.Etc. Mopar's Rule the drag strips & Ovals. Look at Nascar for instance in with the big Dodge Winged Assassins as i call them with the Hemi's & 440's & they were spanking the Chevy's & Ford's so badly that Nascar had to ban the Mopar's because it wasn't even a competition anymore. & then the drag strips with Big Daddy Don Garlits & his Swamp Rats with the Hemi. Garlits was an innovator way before his time. He came to the track with a rear engine dragster & people were laughing at him like what are you up to now Big Daddy? Well he was up to something alright lol. & then the Sox & Martin boys & Dick Landy. etc.

So much meaning back in the day. The blue collar man made the blue collar muscle car to make a metaphysical statement. That the ignorance of greed (clever coyote) will never catch the truth of love (roadrunner), the good old hard working American. Pop open the hood and on the air cleaner housing was written "coyote duster". And the horn went "beep beep". That coyote is a crazy clown. When is he going to learn he will never mow US down.
