@@JRsGarage have you got a video showing how to refit the quarter window? I've got mine back in but there's a large gap between the quarter light and windshield pillar. The door seal is visible through it.

Are you talking about refitting the quarter window in it's frame or fitting the frame into the door? Window into frame is at 9:36 and frame into the door is at approximately 14:15 in the video.

@@JRsGarage Frame to the door. The problem that I got is that the frame leaves a large gap between it and the windscreen pillar, exposing the door seal. I have had some advice on how to remedy the problem. Can I also ask what is the orange tool you use to push the clips in when fitting the door weather strip?

It is a tool from my interior trim removal kit. You can search car trim removal kit on Amazon or most other automotive Parts websites and find such a thing.

Our quarter panel window catch came off from our Morris minor. What holds it in place fixing wise, is is glue, rubber or soldering. Can you help, regards Kevin

The MGC was purchased in the UK when we lived there. Then we moved to Germany, where this was filmed. Now we are living in the US. Military...we move around a lot.

Also my window has the common vertical scratches do you think Headlight Restoration Polish would work? I've had limited success with toothpaste and T-Cut.

Thanks so much for this, any idea how thick that rubber was you used at the start of the video? I have a dear friends car here that needs just that done. I'm hoping i can just buy the rubber here somewhere? unless you got it from MG as a part maybe?

You should be able to get them on VictoriaBritish.com, part number 12-740 . They're about $6 each according to the catalog I have. I couldn't find my calipers but by my eye and ruler it's about 1/8 inch.

Perhaps the fitting of the seals would be easier if the seals were wet down with a rubber/vinyl lubricant?

Yes, lubricant is a must. I used the two products listen in the very beginning of the video.
