A12 cars are arguably the greatest muscle cars ever. The story makes this one even better.

These cars are my youth! I used to get rides to school in a white 69 road runner or 68 GTO or a 70 SS nova. And would do a burnout when they dropped me off! Catholic school was never the same!

A friend of mine ordered a hemi orange A-12 new. After only three or four months it was stolen from the parking lot at his work. His was a auto with a top just like yours and he is still looking for it today. He has some of the original paperwork from the car and insurance co. and has driven to shows all over the US plus looked online for years hunting for his old A-12. He told me back in the 90s that he will never stop looking until he has his car back.

Just incredible back story.. , massive massive amounts of hard work, and of course , $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. Gorgeous. Great options, A-12 package four speed, console, 440 six pack tic toc tac, ralleye dash. Just awesome. Now that I'm over 60 years old, I just buy nice cars that are already done up. No time, just wanna get in and drive. Takes too much time effort and money to restore. Great job

I used to drive this car back in the '60s. My buddy had a 428 '68 Plymouth GTX which we used to race. Mine had a 383 also. We used to cruise all over the backroads in northen Ohio and Southern Michigan and it seemed like every young person had a fastback Mustang or a Barracuda or a hot Camaro. Sometimes we raced for money and one time I saw two guys race for pink slips! But I loved my car and it took me so many wonderful places. And the girls loved it.

Loved the video; great job by all who were involved. It's really neat to hear the backstories of these cars, and their owners as well. Excellent restoration; it was an obvious act of love and respect, especially to contact the original owner and let him be involved, and then to let his kids be there for the unveiling.

I really appreciate this story! So awesome to involve the original owner and his family. I too have found and restored a 69.5 A12 car (Roadrunner) and located the original owner. He was so thrilled to know the car was still around and that it was being restored. I sent him lots of photos. I had made plans for him to fly out and see the car in person, which nearly happened until his health took a turn and he's no longer able to travel. I wish the car was closer to him so he could see and experience it again. Nice job MCOTW for sharing this story.

I love every one of these videos you guys do but this might just be my favourite one yet, not only is it a great car but the story behind it is special too. It was sad that the original owner passed away before he could see it finished but what a great touch to have his kids come in and help put the final piece back on the car to finish it off, that's awesome. Great car and a great video, keep it up Kevin and team i love watching each week and hope one day to get over to the brothers museum when it's up and running.

I was an A12 owner from "81 to '88. Paid for it ($750.00) with pizza delivery tips I earned and saved for a year in a Baskin Robbins ice cream bucket. I was 17 at the time. Though I took good care of it, I drove it as intended, as did all the owners before me. Battle scars everywhere. It's hard for me to believe all these years later just how many bruises that car had to show for only 12 years of use before myself. If only an odometer could show how many drag strip passes, street races, clutches, tires.... And smiles, ear to ear smiles! Ah to discover horsepower for the first time in that car! An addiction for life. Hope it's still doing the same for whoever has her today. That car is out there somewhere....... RM21M9A285628

Great story Great new owners that clearly put in the time and enjoys the entire! experience. And the respect for the original owner was really something to see- Thanks. Convinced that more channels should step back with original owner stories / components of their current or recent build. Usually "cooler" than those that exchange $ over sweat equity and street cred. for inclusion in a shiney new owners club... Not always possible-, But back in the day, those guys and families were different- To look over and see one of these racing or sitting at a light in the 60-70's you just knew those guys were way into cars... and maybe also raced semi- professionally at local tracks and were often connected to the best local mechanics, fabricators and speed shops. Verses some of the stiffs at Barr Jac. auctions that never! have or will wrench on, or race a performance car. Often just, well silly to watch that giddy nonsense. Sure the value keeps climbing...we get it and here that over and over again... $$$$$$$$$$$$$ It is big business. And the industry involved in restorations is very sophisticated. These cars do have real history - way before sitting under bright lights, and still have four wheels that should touch blacktop once in a while.
