This is the F.A.S.T. class, where virtually anything can be modified to the engines & transmissions internally ( NO nitrous allowed ), but must "appear stock" on the outside. Still have to run skinny street tires and factory exhaust manifolds. NO headers allowed. The ZL1 is making just over 700 hp to the rear wheels, and the Hemi is making 1,000 hp at the crank. The same guys that own the ZL1 also own a classic Corvette with basically the same engine, but cast iron block instead of aluminum. With this Corvette, they just broke the record TWICE, with their newest record being an incredible 9:28 in the 1/4 mile........and they believe they can get both their Vette and the ZL1 running into the 8's soon. F.A.S.T (factory appearing stock tires) is one of the classes they run in. The Camaro has a YT channel called Horsepower Depot. The tires are bald like slicks. His dad's "L88" Corvette is even faster than the Camaro and it's also running bias ply old school street tires.
