Great job professor. Paint looks good. Thanks for all the great videos and I'm looking forward to seeing the completed project!

Thanks! Up next are running boards, wiring, and the dash pad. Then it's on to the full interior.

Spraying it right in the driveway. LoL! I love it!

It wasn't ideal, and you can definitely tell it's not a pro paint job, but I'm going for the DIY style (and cost!).

Just found your channel quite by happenstance; youtube suggested it to me. I have a '70 bug that needs some help so I appreciate your videos. You have a new subscriber.

Good luck on your 70! If you have any questions about what I did to mine or what you may need to do to yours, just post it here.

Appreciate that, John. I've made a few custom tweaks to the paint, so hopefully you'll dig the final results.

I'm enjoying your videos. I have a 1971 bug I'm working on so I'm learning from you. I have that same Bostitch compressor but I been hesitant to buy a paint gun because didn't think it put out enough CFM. Looks like it's working for you though.

It was good, but I upgrade to the red Craftsman upright compressor you can see in the background at the end of the video. It worked much better.

School St. Garage I can imagine. I'm trying to avoid buying a larger compressor if possible. are you using a harbor freight spray gun?

TCP Global brand gun. $35 on Amazon. They were my paint supplier too. Very good gun.

So after buying the worst shell good pan I could find, I’ve replaced the shell with a car that has a one quarter size bit of rust and that’s it. Look forward to laying down the paint.

Were we supposed to see the grit on that paper? If so you didn’t get close enough to the camera and took it away way too fast

The two pistons one was from eBay. The stock size was small, so I had the seller custom make one 18 inches wide for me. The chopped one is from Mighty Car Mods' website.
