I was at that game in the box seats behind the 3rd base dugout. I was 8 years old I still have the red swing seat and the book they gave out as a give away. I don't remember much from the game but I am glad I was there.

I love the guy who goes right to try and dig up home plate, quickly realizes he can't get it up, then bolts to get the bat lol.

The guy that was a real laugher was the guy that between innings would come out and slide into all the bases but when he went to third he jammed his leg and had a limp off the field and the crowd laughed.

Dude who got the last hit/RBI in that stadium? Oscar Gamble.

I was there. The destruction started in the first inning and there were several threats to forfeit the game, but Gene Mauch who was managing for the Expo's begged the umpires not to forfeit the game or there would be a riot

Mauch would know…he managed the Phils before that.

I wonder if there's still fans out there that have their "souvenirs" from the game

I wasn’t there but a friend of my parents was. He ended up giving us a couple of planks of wood from seats. I still have them of course.

I was there, too. Never forget people carrying out toilets on their shoulders.

Philadelphia fans never change, no the sport, politics or downright anything. Any reason to drink & be belligerent. Fun fandom to watch but keep a safe distance from them.
