Yup! In 81, my brother's best friend had bought a 70 Bee, 383 Mag, and garaged it. The car has 20K on it and he was the second owner.... But I remember telling his what an ugly POS he'd bought. LOL! the things 13 yr olds say, with no filter. Now I look at it and see something so unique. I mean even the big Chryslers of the mid 60's look way better then they did when I was a kid!
@ImTheDaveman6 жыл бұрын
I'm in love with this Super Bee! A triad of Wows sent forth without hesitation! I had completely forgotten about this car. I haven't seen any Super Bees on the road in all of forever it feels like, not since the 70s. I miss the 70s - gawd I miss the 70s! Magnificent cars all throughout and good times. Lots a rubber left burning on the road, gorgeous girls, some great burgers, quality TV shows, peculiar but great movies - and OH! The Rock and Rolla! The 70s has gotta come back into style eventually. Did I say I love the 70s? I know - I was being so evasive it was hard to tell. Thanx for the time trip down memory avenue! Excellent car!!!!

Where on earth do you find these rare gems. A 70 Dodge Coronet Super Bee 2 Dr hardtop with a 426 Hemi Torqueflite with a vinyl roof....Absolutely amazing! Now I'm assuming that since Super Bee is patterned after the Road Runner...most of them are 2 Dr post sedans. The Road Runner was initially offered in 68 as a 2 door post coupe only. The pillarless hardtop and the Super Bee came out in 69. A great video as always.

magnificent. tell everyone who received speeding tickets from state troopers in plymouth split faced chryslers, fury II's or whatever, that this vehicle is SO spectacularly unique. it's got that understated coronet look at the tail that is nice, but has the stupid pistol grip shifter (which apparently was promoted in the dodge product guide for 1970.) what about regular manual transmission knobs found in triumphs and austin healys? anericans are generally uncouth.

Most of these Hemi cars went straight to the dragstrip,and were promptly blown up.The main problem with the Hemi was you needed to spin it to 7 grand to make the power. They came with no warranty because the engine was a time bomb.Most dealers that got stuck with one of these cars would discount the extra charge for the Hemi to get it off the lot.
