Rewatching this. Now that I just disassemble my very first cab I now know what / where retainer clip is. 👍🏻

If there's multiple ways to get something done, that's great! Just more tools for your toolbox. And you don't need to 'splain accidentally throwing out something, even a wiring harness. Done the same thing myself, more than once. That's why I don't throw anything out that came from a vehicle of any kind that I've worked on. You never know what you can use in the future.

lol I bought my first Harley 1993 FatBoy and had it serviced and ready for a poker run. I filled up to start the run and probably 100 miles into the run I ran out of gas 🙄 I just filled it up, I remember when I was filling up I went to open the left fuel tank and I went to open it and it would just click. Thinking this must be a dummy cap!!! lol Come to find out it had left handed threads. Pretty stupid I know!!! We live and learn!!! Keep it on two wheels and love the wind therapy brother

The beauty of older bikes, we can fix them with the minimum of tools anywhere and at least get home. Modern bikes, just leave them on the side of the road and walk away because you have no hope in hell of sorting out some stupid CPU without a NASA facility in tow. Don't worry about it being stolen, thieves can't get them going either.....

Why dis they put cooling fina on the pipe next to the cylinder? Or, why is it beneficial to cool that small section of the exhaust?

How hard and expensive is it to find parts for decades old motorcycles? I was a p/t bike mechanic for a few years. My boss said he could get (expensive) Honda parts but Yamaha didn't support spare parts for their machines after about 10 years.
@motorcyclerewind7 ай бұрын
It is not as difficult as you might think. Plenty of reproduction parts and still lots of NOS parts out there. Not to mention used parts. It really depends on the model. Thanks for watching.

What stick/mount are you using for your camera on the bike? I'd love to get some footage like that
@motorcyclerewind7 ай бұрын
The camera is a GoPro Max and this mount. amzn.to/4bdiHJh the pole I made from a Swifter mop handle. It’s about 30 inches long.

Some drivel spoken here. 2,3,4,5 thou, who cares what the manual stipulates when it's all 'super simple'. Throwing away looms you've spent money on?Super simple is, as super simple does.
