For sale is a 1971 Lincoln Continental Mark III finished in Royal blue with a white vinyl top and blue interior. A very rare and sought after color combination. This vehicle came out of San Jose, CA. It is fully loaded with factory A/C, Power Brakes, and Power Steering. A/C still blows cold! It was owned by a gentleman for the last 7 years until he passed away leaving this car in the garage for his children. They did not have much use for it so they decided to sell it. This is an original CA car that retains its blue plates. Clean CA title on Non-op. The paint is exceptional with minor flaws here and there. The interior is in lovely condition. The headliner is perfect, door panels look excellent and the carpet is plush. No rust on the floors, minimal rust on the body, as shown in the video. Recent work includes; new battery, new brake shoes and pads, new master cylinder, new water pump, new fuel pump, new brass core radiator and thermostat. Mechanically it runs and drives. It will still need additional TLC. Carburetor needs to be rebuilt, and the transmission has a small leak. Motor does fire right up, sounds good and has a lot of power. The transmission shifts smoothly through all gears. And the brakes and suspension feel just fine. But it is still a project, I would not drive long distances without addressing its issues. I loved Blue on Blue and had to purchase it when I had the chance. It is not everyday you will find this awesome color combination. Nice car. It definitely needs a tune up for sure as it’s misfiring. I’ve owned one of these cars since 1985 and can tell you if it has CHAMPION plugs that could be your misfire!! When I got mine I tuned it up and put Champion plugs. Well not even a week later it started running like crap and misfiring. I then asked around and was told to only use MOTORCRAFT or AC Delco plugs in these old fords. I swapped them out and it was fine there after!!! Preferable stick to Ford / MOTORCRAFT though. Could be worn points , carb might need some work etc.

The ignition is uneven, you can hear it right away. Could also be the fuel type with today's modern octane ratings. As that car was not made for in 1971. Ignition and carburettor must be readjusted. The exhaust system has a leak, and the steering has wear and needs to be adjusted.

Steering wheel is off center so wheel Alignment is in order and has some exhaust leaks and appears to be misfiring so tune up or carb work too. Beautiful car otherwise.

Look close at the center in front where the bumper is under the center of the grill, the space between is not even with the rest of the front of the car

NOOOOO THANK YOU NOW A 1972 MARK IV IS THEE ANSWER A WHOLE LOT FINER AND ESTHETICALLY MUCH MORE APPEALING THEN THE MARK III EVER WISHED. THE ONLY ISSUES THAT THE MARK III HAS OVER THE MARK IV IS THAT THE ENGINE HAS MORE HP AND THAT IS ALL SORRY THAT YOUR MARK III IS JUST PLAIN AWKWARD LOOKING
