It was really nice to meet and serve you and your friend that day at McMenamins. Thanks for chatting and telling me a little about motorcycles and the trade mark sound of Harley's.

Hi Mike, I have a 1972 T120R over here in the Netherlands. I can highly recommend the lengthened front brake cam levers. They transform the front brake from "mostly useless" to "some braking"! Great videos as always. Love to see what you are getting upto and compare with my bikes (I also have a 1972 Commando ;-)).

I've got a 1970 Harley shovelhead and I have thought about that too The best things about the front shoes is they make a lot of noise squealing. To let people know I am breaking or I'm trying to break lol

That's a sweet, sweet bike, Mike. Must admit, tho, those sweeping left turns at the big road junctions have me holding mi breath!!!!!

Ha ha, yes, these large roads took a little bit to get used to after moving here! I had a couple of instances where I turned left into the oncoming streets, thinking that it was the entire highway!

Thanks Mike, your video was just what I needed this morning. Yesterday I got confirmation that I will need back surgery, not sure how it may affect me riding in the future? Your videos always help adjust my outlook. Early on I wasn't sure about the color of your Triumph but it's growing on me, kinda like what happened with the creamsicle tank on my Thruxton. The past 2 years I have had my black and red tank and fenders on but I am missing the orange and white so I think I will put them back on when I can this year. I hope to be back in riding condition by May 2025.

Promise us that there will be no LEDs on the Vincent… There is a Chevron in North Plains that has 93 octane non-ethanol at around $6 / gallon, but my bikes have gotten spoiled. Thanks for sharing

2 iconic models from the 70s in the same place 🤩 ! Non ethanol pump, the best place for spotting classics on the road 😉 !

Enjoyed your video, like always. Was just up to Hillsboro and Portland and went to McMenamins in Raleigh Hills with my son in law. Nice place. Hopefully I'll be back when it's warmer trailering my 850 Commando and maybe I can tag along on one of your rides. The roads you take always look so nice.

That would be terrific, Phil. Glad you had a good visit. Yes, that’s a really nice McMenamins. I’ve been there a few times myself. All the best, Mike.

Hey, Mike, nice video again; good to see you all on the road again… by the way: I have owned a Z1000 , too. It was a former police-bike and was running perfect… greetings from northern Germany Manfred

The snag is that the original lenses leak a lot ot light on dip when fitted with super bright LED bulbs. I'm 71 and still riding but modern car lights make night riding a pain in the retina! Apparently they are actually damaging our eyes.

Nuts! That gentleman in the Porsche spent less filling up with ethanol free fuel than I typically spend filling up my Camry with 10% ethanol unleaded here in California.

This past fall, I made good improvement to the front brake on my 1972 TR6RV by installing the extended levers, a new stouter Venhill cable (with switch), and NOS Lockheed shoes. Works well.

Wow! You're non ethanol gas is about double what it is out here in PA.

Porsche guy could have given you a wave...one vintage vehicle owner to another. The LED headlight bulbs work well, but I wish they had a warmer version that looked more like a halogen. There's something about a vintage bike with a bright white LED headlight that doesn't look right to me. I still use them though.

+1 on the LED headlight bulb i have one i got from Paul Goff in my 72 T120 it's great hhhmm think i will take mine out today temp supposed to hit 65F in my part of NC ma'salama

Hi Mike, i see you are riding in bright sunlight and your camera is doing a good job with the glare. Is there a filter on your camera or did you apply a filter in post? Love the videos keep up the great work
@TheMightyGarage2 күн бұрын
Hi, it's the GoPro 12 and it does really well in bright light and sunny days. I often reduce the exposure by 5-10% in post to remove some of the glare. Cheers, Mike
