We had a 73 Electra when I was a kid. I have to say that I like the exterior front and rear of the 75 Electra better, but I prefer the interior and dashboard of the 73.

I thought my parents 225 had headlight and turn signal indicators out on the hood. It also had brake light indicators over the back seat you could see in the rear view. Was that or were those an option?
@stangslayerws67 жыл бұрын
Yes the hood mounted and rear view light monitors was a option on these cars

Fiberoptic lamp monitors. I had it in my 76 Electra. But, 1 time I over did it with luggage & some how kinked 1 of the lines . Since it was a brand new car,I took it to the dealer. There the techs showed me Not to fold sharply the lines for light will not travel. Soft curves only. Very good option. It was standard on Caddies

AWESOME MASTERPIECE, my dad was a regular BUICK customer. Every 2/3 years he would buy a new Deuce & a Quarter. Fully equipped 2drs. After break in, we would take a family vacation. He'd drive all by himself from NY to Coral Gables, Fla. since the mid 60's. Gr8 long distance traveler. His biz partner drove a Caddy, but, my dad ALWAYS BOUGHT A NEW BUICK. He kept em very well maintained. @ the age of 9, I learned how to drive,& took my driver's license test on this very year model. The examiner was to busy playing with the buttons, I passed & got my Jr.license. Too bad they don't make these AWESOME MASTERPIECES with today's technology. Better than an SUV.

Why are they called deuce and a quarters?
@rosssvalleyautosales72415 жыл бұрын
It's a nod to the original 225's. The name is derived from the car's overall length, 225 inches.

It could also be taupe metallic which was code Q for 1973 models. Green-gold was Code I by the way. I went with green-gold using the dash for a clue as that is also green. But only real way to be sure what color is if anyone has the VIN number for this car.
