What an incredible transformation, first true cleaning, maybe ever... Up in the midwest these were all rotted away decades ago. This truck has a second lease on a truck life. Satisfying to see this work. Thanks for this great and tremendous work. Looking forward to future content.😎😎

Wow! My favorite transformation was the interior! The colors we could barely see before are now popping! And that new seat cover helped put it over the top!! My first truck was a '66 Chevy C10 8' bed, manual transmission. My mother reupholstered the seat. Later I got a '68, but with an automatic tranny. I am sorry I sold that one.

I started doing auto body work in 1974 at a GMC dealer. Those were brand new trucks then. They never put much paint on them and it was very easy to buff through.

Seriously, when he said it was in bad condition, I about choked. That thing is in damn fine condition! Hardly any rust holes, patina is perfect! Slap some clear coat on it, fix that hood, and get some decent wheels!
@richardfarmer65702 жыл бұрын
Nicely done, looked like quite the project. Amazing how much better it looked after a decent wash. I used to have a '66 Chevy stepside, same color and paint condition although my hood had more paint. Just kept what was there shined up and used to get a lot of compliments on it. I also do an acid wash on cars with heavy water spots. Like you say be careful and don't let it sit and you won't have a problem. Only thing I found I really need to watch is aluminum window trim.

You did what you could with this old beauty. Not the best of shape, almost like a spit and shine kinda detail. I love this style Chevy/GMC pickup with the stepside bed. So many possibilities for customization. I would tear this truck down bit by bit and turn it into an old school resto mod. Redo the whole chassis with new parts, a custom paint job, lower it, put in a hopped up small or big block Chevy engine, 15 or 16 inch wheels, "big and little" tires, and a custom interior.
