1976 Ford F100 Cab Corner Rust Repair Part 1

I decided to begin the rust repair on the 1976 F100 build by replacing the cab corner on the driver side. In this video I start by cutting out all of the old rust and building a patch panel (which gave me an excuse to use the bead roller). Overall is was a pretty successful day at the shop.

I got a 79 F150 Styleside 302 2bbl Auto that my dad handed down to me before he passed. I retired from the military and got time on my hands to do what I want now. So I got a lot of new metal parts that need to be installed. I plan on a full restoration. Just got a new mig welder. Ready to tackle it.

@@DevanEnce pity you cant buy drip rails. is that truck f1 or 250,?.diff is not 9".i have 1 almost good floor,2 trashed rails,2 trashed corners,rest is fixable.79 f350.there was a bubble in the body dent cab corner,,looked at it now its a 2.5" hole,damn..this is aus..its an old tow truck.cost 500. only wanted the diff,but if i can save the cab,thats 4k..keep saving these old trucks,,nothing worth buying today..

i have a 78 f250 that my dad had for 23 years that we are swaping the frame on because its practically gone cab is rought but can be saved just need to know what to do to fix the roof and drips rails can i take to roof skin of another cab i have would like to keep the original cab

I have a 73 Ford, it's a great shape I don't have this problem. Is there any way to avoid or clean out this area from being arrested.??

id be drilling a hole at the low point,inside under,near the chassis.look at the rust holes below that step inside the hole.like the factory holes,they should face back,grind a slit,then pry it down as a gutter.lots of fish oil.engine oil,any oil is good to stop rust.spray it,brush it,pour it..all good.
