1978 Mustang ll King Cobra full walk around with owner Bill at www.MustangownersofCA.org or annual Mustangs and Fords car show. Mustangs at Warner Park. Bill's 1978 Ford Mustang ll is super nice and very original, one of the nicest examples you will see.
Bill is keeping the Mustang ll torch held high with this fine 2.

Rich, I finally got around to checking on this wonderful piece you put together on my King Cobra. You sounded apprehensive about putting it together because of the music being played. I think you did a spectacular job of showing off my little conversation piece of Ford history. Thank you to everyone who has complimented on or made some sort of positive comment about it in any way! Old cars are a labor of love (and money) so it was terribly exciting and humbling at the same time to be interviewed about my car. I'm glad there are still MANY people out there who appreciate the little II. Oh, and It plays along nicely in my garage alongside My 2016 Ecoboost Pony Convertible and 2005 Thunderbird. ☺

Hey Bill ! Glad you liked the end result, some editing and some video over our narration helped. Great car, hope you continue to show and enjoy your fine King Cobra ll.

Hi Rich, I know you asked for my email address about a month ago, and I thought I found a secure link to send it to you. Haven't heard back from you and can't find the secure link I thought I had previously sent it to. Would you please tell me where to find the link so I can send you my address again? I'd really love to have a copy of this video/interview. Thanks so much... Bill

Such a nice car my friend William, the paint and t-top is just stunning! I bought his former king cobra back in 2014 while being in las vegas at the mustang 50th celebration and brought it with me to sweden. Im forever grateful to this man and happy you finally found the car you were looking for.

One day and it's comming these beautiful cars will get there day in the sun. Again car shows are great but I like alot of you are sick of the same old played out cars , out there was so many awsome crazy cars that don't get the love . But one day people will realize the obscure cars are the greatest . I own a king and I will always love the mustang II

These are the "exotics" if you will at any Mustang show and they are certainly getting more love now than maybe ever. They are a rarity and stand out in a sea of late model and even gen 1 cars.

As far as Mustangs are concerned, yes. They were available on 77 and 78 Mustang II models only. Then on Fox years from 81-87 or 88, I believe.

Hey John, Still a fun little driver I am sure. I remember back in the day when some of the guys would hot rod them a bit. I think Bob Glidden even campaigned a Mustang ll in ProStock back in the 70's.

@@MustangConnection1 I remember it very well, it was very reliable and for only a 6 cyl it pulled pretty good, I like it a lot! but there is nothing like a V8 even my 145 HP 79 was super fun.

I always appreciate seeing those cars restored. Owners have to work twice as hard to find original parts for them. Not like doing a 65-70 with the all the re-popped parts available.
@MustangConnection1
@MustangConnection1 5 жыл бұрын
Very true, these are much harder to restore . This one is thankfully very original.

I just think the Mustang II doesn’t look like a sports car, it looks like a Pinto. Chevy kept the Corvette looking sporty every year.

People always talk siht about these (haha the computer said I spelled 'siht' wrong!) You put 17" polished American Racing mags on any Mustang II, it will look good.

Hello...Jill & Kris drove a 76 & a 77 White/blue Cobra II with the twin racing stripes. The King Cobra was a 78 model only, and only in the latter part of the year. 😊

Why is it I'm terrified that if i got in one of these cars and started driving from California to Texas i will be sitting on the side of the highway halfway there waiting for a Tow Truck and trying to get a hotel room.

The thing is that the more you drive it the better. I drove mine down to a car show 800 km away and it handle well both cruise and on highway just loads of gas lol. I say skip the trailer and drive yourself cause they were made for that and if you are afraid to get one either overcome it and drive or get a new one ;)
