The prettier the cars are on the inside and outside, the better they sell. It is time to finish up the inside, and also buff the paint on the outside. Included in this video is the dirtiest my dogs have been to date!

Great video's ! I have a 78 vette that i've had since 92. I like how you got the old paint to shine. I'm working on the stock wheels on mine now.

I have an 81, same charcoal grey metallic, that I've had for 28 years now. Garaged the entire time. I just bought a zephyr 3 disc wheel polishing kit and spent about an hour and a half on each of those factory aluminum slotted wheels...sanding with 600 grit wet sandpaper first, and they look like chrome now! New spinners and BF Goodrich radial T/As.. Beautiful! B. E. A. Uuuuutiful!

Ben your hard work here has paid off! *The '79 Corvette looks like a million bucks!* Sure if you paint the windshield and rear window trim in black as it should be, and perhaps the ash tray door, the 'driver quality' car is a solid 10!!! Looking forward to the final installment. *Great job.*

Bradley Furer Good luck with that! I have an 81 that hadn't been started in 8 years, and it is a major chore (and expense) to get them going again.

love the work you do to keep these awesome cars on the road, buffing a car gives instant gratification, I enjoy the process. my OCD was going nuts however, a quick satin black rattle can job on the window trim would put it over the top. keep up the great work!

Looks great! Sure it is not perfect, but a real nice original/unmolested driver that can be taken anywhere, something to be proud of for sure. I can't imagine having something with a fresh frame off/rotisserie restoration, you couldn't drive and enjoy it for fear of getting that first nick/scratch.

……………….hi Ben, I enjoy the way you interact with Chopstick, labs are definitely the best dogs to have (but without the snot) :) but then I'm prejudiced because that's what I had when I was a kid. I remember a few years back (ok, maybe more than a few) :) I had a coupe with paint that was badly oxidized but I was damned if I wasn't going to try and bring the finish back...…that being said it wouldn't have been unusual for me to spend a complete day cut polishing and waxing the whole car. My arms would be killing me by the end of the day from the sheer effort of scrubbing in the rubbing compound (doing the side panels were the worst) but I used to get a pretty decent result for the time invested. Don't know if I would have the stamina to do it now years later. Groan!!! :) Your side by side wax demo on the '79 Corvette was pretty dramatic, even came across well on the video. You did a spectacular job on the interior, really made a world of a difference to the look of it...….really liked the changed out steering wheel, too. Another job to fix 'Bubba's' handiwork well done, Ben. 'til the next video...……….. cheers from Vancouver. Steve

Ben the ultimate requires compound you're using is excellent perfect do it at a 1 I would have went with meguiars swirl polish remover and finished off with meguiar's ultimate wax. But what you did is great. Thanks good video

I use to prep these when they were new, worked at a Chevy dealer as a kid.......should the trim around the windshield and rear window be painted flat black? It looked like it was originally black and that would make one more improvement on this car? Really nice job you did.

Buffed up very nice. Was the trim around the rear window black at one time? If it was, you should get a spray can of trim black, mask it off and give it a quickie. I really like the color combo....

Nice work Ben.You have inspired me to polish my 72 coupe .I noticed one of your previous comments said that the manual transmission conversion is easy swap .How much work is involved and what would be a rough cost ?If I had my opportunity to purchase mine again,it would definitely be manual. Can't swap the car as it owes me too much.

did you switch out the towel that you were using to rub off the excess? or clean it at all, as you might have been rubbing that dirt into it, as detailing is an OCD mans game. and did you wash and then blow the water off first? plus the spoiler looks like it needs to be done next.
