My wife and I bought a 1977 that looked exactly like this one in 1987. We drove it from our home in N.C. to Maryland, down to Mississippi and a lot of places in-between. It was a great car. Wish we still had it!

The colour looks even better in the daylight. It may only have a basic spec, but how many of the gadgets that will fail do you realy need? A stunning car that only needs a new owner to pamper it.🙂👍💞

Bill that Volare is awesome. Love the basics of it. Looks great in that color as well. Reminds me of the one my dad got as a rental car when we took a trip to Orlando back in 1979. We picked it up at the Orlando airport and enjoyed it for 2 weeks driving all around Florida. It was white with the same color vinyl roof and interior. My dad was a Caddy guy and thats all my parents owned. But they really enjoyed the Volare as we went all over Florida.

Uber cool there Bill, I am seriously impressed! She sings like a brand new car, love the sound of the motor and transmission. Slick, crisp and smooth - what else do you want???? Lower spec means nothing, its the fact of originality that matters. With a new head liner, she will be gorgeous. I just put a new headliner in my '79 Chrysler Sigma last month, made a heck of a difference.

My dad bought a silver with red interior 1980. Somehow it was getting 12 MPG. Service department couldn't figure it out and they had to take it back for a full refund since Chrysler had a 30 day money back Guarantee at the time. These cars almost ruined already struggling Chrysler. They got recalled a lot. Lee Iacocca said they were rushed and not good cars. My dad, who owned a Dart Dart GT convertible asked the dealer how do use mess up a Slant 6?

I was waiting for it to repeatedly stall once you put it into gear. We had dozens of these back in the day and every one of them did not run reliably. I remember the hoopla with the GM cars with the ignition switch issue and stalling and laughed. Nothing compares to the late 70’s, early 80’s Chrysler products with their overly lean carburetors to meet emissions. Maybe I should be thanking the EPA.
