I’m a locksmith and I do jobs all the time for banks on foreclosed properties and one time the bank had me re-keying a vacant house that WAS NOT IN FORECLOSURE and the homeowner was PISSED !!! And he should have been cuz the bank made a big mistake. Ever since then I’m always asking the bank to please double check and make certain because I don’t trust em anymore. What a dam mess. Oh,…. I love ole Roy and the color is different and I really like it. Thanks Puddin

Sometimes when your working on a project you don’t always have the right tools to do it correctly but if you use some ingenuity like a bigger hammer or a cutoff wheel the results can be achieved without busting your hands or messing up a good part . The days of the backyard mechanic are alive and well. Be careful and stay safe my friend God love ya brother.

On my project truck on my channel , i had never even done brakes, much less bearings. And mine is a 4x4 as well. It took days researching how to do it and figure out the right parts and tools for the job. Helluva job for a novice like me but I managed! And I never would have done it had you not inspired me! ♥️

Puddin you can heat those copper banjo washers up with your turbo torch and they will get softer. Don't go too far or you'll melt them. I was a plumber for years and when I needed to make a bend in hard copper pipe I would heat it to soften it. I had that problem on my car so I heated them and BAM like a dream it actually worked.😁👍

On those copper washers for the brake banjo bolts, you can anneal them easily. Use your propane torch, heat red hot and let cool. This makes them soft so the seal better. I tinker with old bike. Often you can't find the right size new ones and you have to use old ones. Annealing them as I described softens them enough to seal.

hey puddin, in the 25 years ive done brakes, i was always taught to relieve pressure on the caliper first. open the bleeder, use a flat head, press the pad against the cylinder side of caliper and the rotor, bleed some pressure off (one side at a time). yes it can waste a bit of fluid, youre gonna bleed em anyways after. calipers dont release to full open state unless you bleed the pressure and force it. makes fighting them off a breeze. the rotor lip is from lazy brake jobs, thats why people can have the hard time getting them off.

Hey Puddin , I'm watching you doing the brakes on old Roy , I'm not trying to tell you how to do your job but when you're doing rear brakes there are 6 contact points on your backing plates that should be cleaned and lined if you don't the rear brakes will squeak and it will also wear out your backing plates , just a tip from 45yrs of experience
@jaysonhallson-ow5gp3 ай бұрын
Contact points on inside of backing plates need a smigeon of axle grease on each pad.
