At this point in time, Coach Landry and I were waiting for Aikman, Irvin and Hershel. We just didn't know it yet.

@@trevorhembrough1290 They likely would have drafted him either way in '89. But they never would have got all the other guys over the next 4 years. The cowboys may have been the least talented team in the NFL by 1988. And of course they were for sure in 1989 after Jimmie started the rebuild. They had TERRIBLE drafts throughout the 80's. Michael Irvin in '88 was the only top pick that turned into anything serious until JJ came in.

Should've won . We're up 14-6 and about to make it 21-6 ( or at least 17-6) even with Hogeboom filling in. Then Dorsett's rare fumble gave Philly new life.

I remember the pass interference in the fourth quarter and then the Dorsett fumble ruining the game for the Cowboys.

Hogeboom(like Pelluer) could come in and fill in if it's just going to be one game( especially when the other team hasn't faced him) but if lose White for the season ( like what eventually happened in '86 )and he's ALL we got, that's when the roof falls in.
