My brother, Dion, has an '86 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z28, but it's black and has EVERY option except for the 'Tuned Port' 350. He received it for free (yes, free) from the son of the original owner. It has less than 40K miles on it. Dion has the best luck with cars and a barn/garage full of cars. Some of which are worthy of being on your channel. When's the last time you've seen a '49 Buick Roadmaster Riviera, Lou? He has one. We'll be at MCACN '24 next month. I'll introduce myself and my brother, Dion, to you.

This generation of Camaro takes me back to my middle school days from 87-89. I remember the teenagers at the local mall would cruise around in these blasting Def Leppard , Ratt , Motley Crue etc.🤘. Thanks for the memories Lou.

What a beauty! For me, this is one of the best generations of Camaro; and this beautiful 1986 Z28 IROC-Z with that red shining in the sun proves it! I like, apart from its removable roof, that unique feature of the brake guide positioned on the upper part of the dark trunk cabin. A really superb interior, upholstered mostly in red, with those elegant Lear Siegler seats and the letters "Camaro" stamped on them and on the doors; in addition to the interesting console located on top. That book in the trunk was nice; since, apart from having beautiful photographs, it showed detailed characteristics of the models. And how those chrome exhausts "roared" when accelerating its powerful 5.0 liter "High Output" V8, hehe. Oh, and the detail of the aluminum drum brakes was interesting. Finally, a fun final ride, with the roof open while all the light, air and sounds of the surroundings come in... Congratulations to Mr. Jundt and his son, for leaving this classic in such magnificent condition! Best regards, Lou!

Nice car, Lou. Back in the day, there were rumors that the 302 had valve problems.And aftermarket performance parts were hard to find. Do you know if any of that was accurate?
@loucostabileАй бұрын
Hi Floyd, Happy to read you enjoy this "Nice car" :-) Hmmm, I had not heard about a valve problem. Maybe a Viewer has knowledge on your question I don't have, Lou
@bighank796Ай бұрын
If you are talking about a 305, we'll yeah the 305 was a good engine, particularly the h.o. carburetor version. They did have valve guides that would wear our prematurely. The engine would smoke upon start - up . Wasn't that big if an issue until they got bad enough to start fouling spark plugs
@Z7d3nR4Ай бұрын
@@bighank796 yes, 305. Thank you. My mistake. 302 was the Ford upgrade of the 289, right?
@JeffKing310Ай бұрын
@@Z7d3nR4True - the Ford 302 was an enlarged 289. Chevy also had a very rare 302 in the late 1960s- it might have only been a year or two.

Awesome, big bro LOU!! A glorious big piece of wonderfully All-American (not so) toxic masculinity right there, and your little bro JV Johnny will indulge this Halloween, man!!!! What a treat, big bro. POW! And there's the trick lol🤣, as I am suddenly knocked out 😵😵and fall forward, with you bending a bit to have me safely slung over your right shoulder, my now limp working class, tube socked stockinged, JV baseball jock calves and feet dangling. One knocked out JV baseball mascot, dreaming of chicks, as usual 'n always😜. Tom's IROC takes me right back to high school (I am there in my mind, anyways!) at 14/15, where this car was the BOMB, Lou. Such awesome nostalgia and he has her looking so pretty and fine. These F bodies just continue to make a guy weak in da knees, you know? So much meaning. Thanks for this awesome treat, Lou. Awake or knocked out in my stocking feet, you are awesomely appreciated, big bro! JV Johnny ⚾⚾
