Greatest thing about this race for me was the crowd. I was there. They didnt cheer they just all stood up and started clapping. Everyone knew they were watching the greatest horse ever

@@mrsilverbuck3181 he is my favourite racehorse of all time ,still makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up watching those old races especially the 86 arc .I never thought I would see a better racehorse than the brave let alone wearing the same colours

Doesn't every horse take a bit time to hit that 6th gear ? Well the special one's that have that 6th gear of course. Most only have a 3rd gear or 4th if pretty decent BUT horses like Dancing Brave don't come along very often. Pat Eddery said Golden Fleece was the best he rode that was 1982 then 4 YEARS later he found a greater one & I'm sure he was being honest & sincere when after the 86 Arc when interviewed his words Quote: He was electric today, I gave my lad a couple of taps & he just took off, I think any horse in the WORLD would've struggled to get passed him. I mean Pat had the good fortune to ride some AMAZING Champions:: Grundy, Detroit, Golden Fleece, El Gran Senor, Rainbow Quest, Saddlers Wells, Quest for Fame, Pebbles, Trempelino, Zafonic, Sonic Lady, Bosra Sham....etc BUT even though he wasn't riding the great Dancing Brave in his unfortunate Derby blunder he said he knew what he had under him after he 1st rode him in the King George. Should've been Guineas, Derby, King George, Arc winner & retired. Should've/deserved to be retired an unbeaten Champion. R.I.P GOAT 🙏

I dont care what anyone says no horse would cope with DB acceleration over 1.4 , his demolition of champion sprinter Green Desert in the 2000 Guineas showed what a turn of foot he had

A good horse if rather overrated.

Dancing Brave is very good horse. But, certainly not a great horse because of his failure to handle left handed courses.

A silly comment, he was a fantastic horse and it had nothing to do with not being able to handle left-handed courses and that is not even a thing anyway in Flat racing and more to do with NH racing, when horses jumping in the opposite direction to how the course turns, so then they have to keep being straightened up again in the direct that the course turns. Leaving aside being beaten on a left-handed course does not mean by default a horse does not handle going that way around, once they come off the final bend the run-in is straight anyway, regardless of what way the course turns. And the way he flashed home at Epsom it is just not logical to say he did not handle Epsom because it was left-handed and there were several valid reasons for his run in the Breeders' Cup.
