Dodge imported this small truck, built by Mitsubishi as an answer to the need for a small truck to compete with Chevy's S10 and Ford's Ranger. Nice looking truck, and with A/C, it's practical year 'round.

in those days, the Chevrolet competition was the Chevy Luv (rebadged variants of the Isuzu Faster and D-Max)...

American car companies sure were interested in fielding small trucks as companions for their full sized offerings. Thanks for mentioning Chevy's partner. Ford had ties to Mazda. :) Jack

I'd almost forgotten about these. Sort of like a Chevy LUV, but much later. I can't remember just now what the Japanese Ford little truck of the early '70s was called.

Nice truck man. Would it be worth getting one of these? How much would it run used
@coolrides5 жыл бұрын
A lot depends on mileage and condition....I'm not an expert in values, but if it ran well and didn't have major rust, I'd be interested if it were cheap. Thanks! :) Jack

Hey, Jason! Yeah, I think the gas engine is more practical for this light duty truck..now those huge trucks may very well be better candidates for the tremendous torque of a diesel. Thanks! :) Jack

This isn't my truck, but I'll let my viewers comment on that....but from my viewpoint, consistent oil changes are extremely important. I've known owners who never have changed their oil...needless to say, I wouldn't buy one of their cars. Thanks! :) Jack

¡Buena suerte! :) Jacobo

I got an "88 Mighty Max the Mitsubishi version of this truck, but mine is a 4x4 model with the auto locking hubs, it needs work but honesty it's the easiest truck I have ever worked on and I'm not biased my mom owned a 22r toyota pickup also a nice truck but not as easy to work on and parts have the Toyota tax added.
@coolrides7 жыл бұрын
That's great insight into this truck...I think being easy to work on is almost a forgotten attribute of cars and trucks today. Congrats on having one of these! Thanks! :) Jack

Hey, Bobby! Not sure, but I'd ask the local parts store like NAPA here in the U.S. to see if the mechanical parts are available. The body parts would probably be much more of a problem. Thanks! :) Jack

Thanks.. This 4 cylinder should be way more economical than it is already..It wastes alot of gas (and its a 5 speed).. so must be the carb and/or wrong air fuel ratio
