Rhonda Sue Wood, the belly dancer lived from 1950-2021, per online obituary. Seems She had a long, active life and was loved by her family, students, and her community. RIP.

The marriages lasted. This was also ~27 years ago and the lives of the panelists were fulfilling and lived the lives they created. Ronda's legacy with her social group, MOR2LUV lasts today and the bonds of those given a loving and engaging environment to be themselves has emanated into the generations. The belly dancing troupe is still active, yet with covid-era changes, much has changed about scheduling events. Also, Ronda's home dance studio was the mainstay for group rehearsals and events. Thanks for asking.

This is so exciting. The way the belly dancer, Ronda answered the hater's question was so heart-centered and with Love and it absolutely blew any hate out of the water at that moment. I also liked how the first man with glasses responded that he cannot use any adjective. It takes someone who is very confident and seated in their own power and self love to answer with such loving yet cool bravado to knock the haters off. I felt the same panic that Ruby was feeling...I was like appalled and huffing and puffing in my mind that someone was so evil to ask those questions as that hater lady, my mind was scrambled that I couldn't think straight how to go about answering that question, even though I knew innately what I felt about it all..and that such a hater woman couldn't see inner beauty. But it is true ALL WOMEN..ALL PEOPLE are ashamed of our physical form in one way or another and part of the fact we are alive in this Garden of Eden ashamed as soon as we realize we are without clothes - and the shame was the sin...realizing we were unclothed and ashamed WAS the sin. The fact we had to compare male to female, compare to others, compare clothing and become material made the sin that God detested in the garden. Materializing was the sin. I felt like it was too far to ask who is on top, that is violating to ask someone something so private. I really liked how that one man Doug said he likes the jiggling and that made me really think about how we are more than the physical, and how (even I) am so grounded and fixated in the physical sometimes and I wish not to be. I think there is definitely something metaphysical about being fat but also I was always under the impression that our spiritual vibrations are lower when we are heavier, which is why I like to be a light weight. But it is interesting to think about our auric fields. Are our auric fields lighter or heavier when our physical matter is heavy/light?

As a over weight person being fatphobic is kind when someone attacks you for something that's hurting you than that's called being real and kind, Obesity is ass knee pain, hard to breathe, dizzy, feeling uncomfortable and 200+ diseases.
@gaelmacgregor
@gaelmacgregor Жыл бұрын
@@celsyctoy9148 There is nothing “kind” about treating a person with disgust and judgment. The fake “I just care about your health” is a smokescreen for the inability to see a person for who they *are* instead of what they look like. Most folks don’t want fat people to exist in their presence, and can’t fathom that we are happy and active, just the way we are.

I applaud everyone on the stage including Sally. The men were able to discuss their reasons for loving plus size women, the women were very receptive to their men and the audience, then Sally said it best people love who and what they love and if everyone took the time to be happy for everyone's desires and choices and not judge or call it disgusting. Love comes in all forms ❤️

I think many have problem with not that someone finds fat people attractive but more the feeder side of it, like guys who don't accept when their partner want to lose weight for their health or guys who manipulate and force their partner to gain weight without caring about their health or that they might die. Those people are creepy and honestly dangerous if you're obese, they don't actually love the person, they only love their fetish. If you actually love another person you should love them no matter of size and even if they gain or lose weight even if many people of course can have a preference for either bigger or skinnier people.

Fat and skinny is in the eye of the beholder. I find either fine enough & each has their values. I agree with these men on most of what they are explaining, however my own sensibilities dictate that either or fat or skinny has positives & negatives applied to them & HEALTH is my main issue here & nothing more. I have e\been with fat people & skinny as well & found beauty in both, so again its in the eye of the beholder. If they are living unhealthy lives thats where it matters to me. Skinny people can be as unhealthy & dirty as fat people. So I keep that in mind above everything else. How they present themselves is another issue so what we see may or maynot be what we think & we need to look deeper that the surface. A very good video. Thanks

This was an interesting thing to ponder Shame, and how all women have shame for our bodies because of how it is here on Earth. I feel though also that fat is limiting and there is so much freedom to when you're skinny. So it's a double edged sword. I just really feel so much light emanating from my body when the fat has left, after being bigger and losing a lot of it. It was a lot of trapped frequency from trauma that kept the weight there and it was also a suit of armour protecting me from the people who I was around, but now that I am back in my body in spirit, the fat is leaving because it knows I am stronger now and can fight the trauma. I do understand why fat is attractive too though.

It breaks my heart that one of the wives of these men stated that her mother being fat was an excuse for her father to beat her. First of all there is no excuse for a man to beat a woman, plus he knew what size she was when he married her. These are all real people with real feelings, yet that lady who judged the belly dancer by saying you disgust me, was not attractive herself, and each person decides for himself or herself what is attractive. People are not all the same, nor should they be. Even if I am not attracted to someone, unless they intentionally try to hurt me, I would see no reason to insult them. It is called basic manners, which that audience member had none. The only reason anyone should think about losing weight if they are happy as they are is for their own health. That is something that is important to anyone. Otherwise who I am to judge someone's choices in life.

I detected a little jealousy and arrogance in the tones of some of the women who were asking questions. I really like the way Konrad (the man in the middle) put it...some people are attracted to skinny, some are attracted to muscular bodies so what's wrong with a man preferring a big woman?! Personally, I prefer a woman with some extra padding, too. Like Doug (the first man), I find a certain sensuality with big women.

I completely understand what they mean as far as preference that may not be socially a "standard" of beauty, or attractiveness. I LOVE, and have always been attracted to tall, lanky men. Especially those that may be otherwise viewed as "skinny",or powerless. In my opinion there's nothing hotter than a man built like Adrian Brody, with producing hip bones, and small wastes, chiseled faces, and lanky limbs. Everyone has their preferences. You can't change them, regardless of social standards. I've dated men of all sizes. But the lanky, tall guys are always an ideal in my fantasy of what " perfection" is. I've grown as a person, emotionally and mentally, and have therefore learned that time and health takes its toll on the body. My partner was a tall, lanky guy when we met, but time and age has put weight on both so I've grown to love him for far more than just appearances. He's an extremely empathetic, animal loving, homebody just like myself 😆 and so regardless of how time and age has changed us physically, our love is beyond the surface characteristics. Neither of us are hundreds of pounds different than when we first met, and we do try to keep healthy, and keep to a healthy-ish diet for health/longevity. But regardless of the changes, and fluctuations, true love will keep you close to the person you're meant to be with. They will love you for "you" no matter what physically changes.

I'm the size of Ruby. I've lost weight since finding someone who wants me, despite my exterior. He doesn't care if I lose weight or gain it. I've never been happier in my life. I have dated "BBW admirers" and all we are to the majority of them is a fetish. They don't have a love for you, it's a love for the fat itself. Never leads to a happy ending. My advice: be yourself, live your life, be happy and healthy in whatever size container you're in. Be loved, be sexy, be free. You will meet the right person. ❤

Yes everyone has a physical preference but I also believe it's the insecurity and the codependency that comes with dating a larger lady..a skinny woman would typically have more confidence and not be as dependent and insecure,as opposed to the ladder who could easily feel as if she couldn't live without him and I think they like that part..

@DennisWoodSD
@DennisWoodSD Жыл бұрын
By "these people" what are you suggesting? Humans? People who are presenting a perspective other than those often seen? If you're talking about the subject matter, the talk shows of that era were finding ways to engage folks in discussions with those who are other than themselves. Of course it was ratings, too. They wanted the discourse, and in that era of talk shows (before the Jerry Springer show became a scripted shit-show and wrecked the medium), most hosts wanted people to find common ground and hear other sides. People who are fat are expected to lurk in the shadows and have terrible lives, yet shows like this allowed people to see the loving and productive humans behind the assumptions. The gave a platform for candidly discussing their lives, their hopes and the ways they have been bullied into shutting up. Yes, these panels often had extremes, again good for ratings, but with people like Ronda calmly responding to those who would otherwise just glare, which gives those without a voice someone they can respect and hopefully find love for themselves and build a wonderful life of their own despite societies cruel expectations. And remember, this was close to three decades ago...before cell phones, before the Internet, which for better or worse has exposed us to so much more of the world. It's a moment in time where we were shown what the networks wanted to show us and we either hid under the covers or found ways to shine. I hope this gives you some perspective and answers.

It is really crazy how offended Sally is by even the word fat, let alone the idea. To me, it seems like perhaps she has shame around fat and perhaps struggled with her weight, or had been called fat herself. As a fat woman myself, it almost reads as disgust. She treats the ladies like sideshow freaks. Too bad... now 40% of us are fat. I am sad that we as a nation are unhealthy, but fat isn't inherently ugly and foul as other cultural norms demonstrate. It is egotistical to think that one way is best, as even American cultural mores shift as our lifestyles do. Cool case study!!
