1989 F150 Hurst Shifter

Just got another classic ford! Installing a short throw Hurst shifter.
Should it have a 5.0L ????

I just picked up the same model short bed for $800 in Oklahoma. Sat for 11 years. Did the normal quick tune and battery and had to replace the clutch slave cylinder. Great video. I need to get one for mine.

Those are impossible to find here and especially in that condition. A few years ago those were worth nothing but now they have skyrocketed in price. This is a keeper.

What is wrong with the 300 cube 6 cylinder engine in Australia friggin FoMoCo only gave us Aussies the 250 cube engine as the largest 6cylinder option .Fellas made them go like a rat been chased by a cat , with the right headers and dual exhaust they sound great,all the best regards Rob.

M5R2 Trans? Where did you even find the short throw for it? I have a 89 F150 with a 302, and my shifter pretty much does what yours did, but I can’t find ANYTHING except factory parts. Also, love the Brick! ❤

I may be wrong but I looked at a ranger shifter and it looks identical #3915020 good luck

Looks like a perfect little truck , I suggest you give the 300 a chance. Did you install both shifter boots one on top of the other

Yes the old 300 actually runs and drives well, i ended up just using the old boot for now
