This is a find for sure, had a 1985 with a 425 Kitty and a 13spd, I miss the old girl, I use to live in Acworth in Cherokee county, outside of Villa Rica on the Eastside by the truck stop, my old 1976 K-100 double bunk flat top Kenworth is sitting, I sold it to my step brother who passed shortly afterwards and his wife had it parked in the woods, I had just totally rebuilt the entire drive train and it had a 530HP 1693 Cat motor and 15spd, that truck was a beast. Wow you don't find these trucks often anymore! They were built in Richardson, TX not really far from where I live and I believe it was 91 when the official last truck left the factory. Navistar took the plant over and ran there for decades building the sever duty trucks and some military trucks. It too closed a hand full of years ago. A guy who drove for us bought a new one around this time and I believe he said he got one of the last ones that was left. Very interesting trucks and too bad there so hard to keep up with parts. I think they look really nice. Marmon's customization process killed them because they couldn't build in mass quantities like the big guys do.

Marmon was such a revered name even Henry Ford once had a Marmon 16 in which he was chaufered in 1930's. The Marmon 16's had aluminum blocks.

Great video James, uh the 9 and straight 10 speeds have no splitter button, the 15 is in fact the blue splitter for deep reduction and is the only transmission to my knowledge carries the blue splitter button, while the super 10 and the 18 speed carry the gray button.

Wow! What a find. Talk about Rare! And I thought Marla was rare. I hope you're able to buy it. As far as the engine, it sounds like it may have the same issues as truck "X". But James look at it this way, at least both can turn over. Bearings? Drop the oil pan? Hope they both can be saved. I like your fleet. Look at that front bumper though. What is it with you and front bumpers. Enjoy watching your videos. Good luck.
