I was at this race with my Dad. I was 17 at the time and I had bought us tickets for the race. We were sitting under the covered front stretch just going into turn one.

Benny and the commentary crew didn't have it in them to call little brother Phil Parsons move the mistake it was, trying to run three wide at Darlington. But on a positive note the best thing about when Harry Gant won one, as beautiful as the Skoal Bandit was it was clearly not on the top shelf of NASCAR equipment. Ol' Handsome Harry was always overachieving in that mean green machine and with about as much class as anybody that's ever driven a race car in doing so
