Looks like it has been fully restored back to its full police specs for car shows. Awesome. The police 1991 Vics, with the 351, are the final cars with a carburetor engine. I have an '89 LX. Those were the best looking Crown Victorias.

car looks fantastic, to whoever did the restoration, A+ job, to change sirens, you had to turn the know on the control panel, not like today, where all the officer has to do is to hit the middle of the steering wheel, right where the air bag is located...LOL.....I actually remember seeing these cars when the TV Show COPS was actually in Boston.......brings back memories......

***** The lenses are two pieces. The PD could change out either side to whatever they wanted. Red lights were off limits to police, and still are with the exception of Mass State Troopers.

That is how the lights were ordered by BPD from Code 3 Public Safety Equipment. Mass police agencies may run red to the rear of the vehicle according to Mass law. A lot of agencies ordered the bars this way during this time period.

I didn't know that those emergency light bars are to some police depts combined collored like front side completely blue and back side red/ blue.. Is it prescribed by the state laws in each state the colors of light bars or each police dept. per.ex city police, state police, highway patrol or troopers can choose how they want? I noticed some changed these colors over years like NYC had before black cars with red blue lights, then blue/ white cars with red white light bars , lately combined red/ white/ blue etc,...

I was lucky enough to own a leftover 1991 Crown Vic Interceptor which I purchased in the fall of 1992. It was an unmarked package so it had an upgraded interior/exterior. The car was awesome and till this I miss it. Had it 6 years and put over 100K on it while beating the bag out of it. She never let me down. After having that car I will never a diss a Ford

80k is a newer version of the 480k. Pretty much the same to my knowledge but just better fit to modern standards with siren when it comes to how loud it is and wattage, etc. But yeah, the 2 King County cars use 80k Sirens instead of 480k, since 480k's are late 80s early 90s, 80k's are Early 90s to late 2000s (which fits the model of the Vic in the show)

@@robinbowie8093 480K is the model of the controller. The 80K is the part that makes the sound or the amplifier. 480K simply controls the 80K.
