I’d like to thank everyone for their kind comments and feedback. Doing this show with Jay was a truly wonderful experience full of plenty of laughs ! I wanted to make a small correction to the content in light of some recent factory records reviewed, conversations with Astec employees that built the carbon fiber tubs, and the designer Peter Stevens. There were actually 50 production chassis made, not 53 mentioned in the episode. One extra spare tub was ordered by Tom Walkinshaw 10 months after regular production had ended. Just wanted to clarify that for the sake of complete accuracy ! Thanks again for your kind comments and a special thank you to Jay Leno for having the car on the show ! Jas Dhillon

It's a different beast to the stock XJ220, 680bhp (up from 542bhp) and a few hundred kilograms lighter. It's basically a road going version of TWR's 1993 GT1 car. Also, next time you are in England, take a visit to Don Law Engineering. They now do all XJ220 servicing and updates on behalf of Jaguar, plus prepare the Jaguar GT, Group C and IMSA GTP cars. Last year Justin Law won the Goodwood Hillclimb in their 1993 XJR-12D IMSA GTP car.

I'm really into cars myself and hadn't heard of this car till I saw a video about it on petrolicious (I think that's the channel)

Zero Cool Gran Turismo 2 to be exact lol. That game alone introduced me to everything i know now about cars and in fact that game introduced me to two of my favorite cars of all time: GT40 Gulf and the Cobra Daytona Coupe. What a game that was and still is. Oh and this car is cool AF too.

Thanks, Jay - and more importantly, Jas - for such an informative, interesting episode. A real pleasure to learn about this great car. An equal pleasure to ‘meet’ Jas, who as others have commented, is such a genuine and likeable guy. Hope he will share more of his garage with us in the future. Do catch the Petrolicious video - more great stuff.

Looks like a Group C car for the street! I like the design much better than the XJ220. Sad to say I never even knew this existed.

john m There is no need to try and lump some boy toy cheap ricer rockets in with a million dollar super car ... They are not in the same class in to many ways.
