Right now, she doesn't know that it might be Eric's because she was drunk that night she slept with him and thought that Eric was Ridge and Eric took advantage of that. So Brooke doesn't remember sleeping with Eric. Stephanie hinted that Brooke slept with Eric but Brooke thought that was ridiculous. Brooke mentioned it to Eric but Eric, not knowing yet that Brooke was pregnant, said they did sleep together recently and mentioned that one night. It was then that Brooke realized that the baby might not be Ridge's, it might be Eric's. She was angry at Eric for taking advantage of her but I think she was more angry that the baby might not be Ridge's. Brooke's reaction to Eric's news made Eric realize that Brooke was pregnant and that he might be the father.

Brooke right now, thinks that she's pregnant with Ridge's baby but later on, Stephanie hints that to Brooke that she slept with Eric recently, too. Brooke didn't remember doing that and accused Stephanie of lying. Brooke confronted Eric about it and said what Stephanie said is ridiculous. But to Brooke's surprise, Eric(not yet, knowing that Brooke was pregnant) told her that they actually did sleep together recently one night and the reason Brooke doesn't remember is because she was drunk that night. When Eric mentioned when that night was, Brooke knew that it was around the time of conception which meant that the baby might be Eric's not Ridge's. This revelation horrified her because she wanted more than anything for the baby to be Ridge's and now her parade had been rained on.

And at the time Eric and Brooke weren't dating or having sleeping with each other etc. He just chaperoned her back to her apartment because she was to drunk to drive herself home. And while she was asleep and knocked out in bed he slept with her. Each time Brooke became pregnant from Eric it was rape.

He did not break up their family. Eric and Rick rewriting history all the time. However it is fitting them at times. Rick also excused stephanie of breaking up their family. What is also not true. Brooke went after rigde when she was married to Eric. And I have no sympathy for eric either. He married his sons ex fiancé and ex flames daughter. That's disgusting. So, he basically did come between rigde and Brooke. Here rigde is trying to save his father's marriage. But Brooke did not want Eric any more.

They don't find out till years later. Ridge finds a letter allegedly written by Dr. Peters who performed the original paternity test. In the letter, the doctor verifies that Brooke will pay her one million dollars to falsify the paternity test and show Ridge as the father. Ridge is livid and confronts Brooke who denies knowing anything about the letter or the scheme. They redo the test, and it's revealed Eric is Bridget's father. We don't know who wrote the letter for certain, but the viewer is led to believe it was Sheila.

They do a paternity test. Eric, Sheila, Stephanie, Ridge, and Taylor were all present. It came back that it was Ridge's baby but later on the truth comes out that it was Eric's. There was an error with the paternity test.

@Nellie Cooper Brooke also slept unprotected with Deacon.And 100% at the party with Oliver because she thought it was Ridge. It's a miracle that she didn't get pregnant again. She's like she is 12 and had no idea how to do it. Ridiculous. But she is also very scalded. I think she just wanted to put her into that family and name somehow. She certainly loved Ridge, but the rest of the story? I only think of it when she tries to force Bill's child on Eric years later and he should drop Taylor. That was really the very last.
