Great video but could you please tell us the reasoning for using the two extra wiring harnesses at the end of the bypass harness rather than going straight from the 70-1856 to the new aftermarket stereos harness?? Please explain. I'm trying to do the same install on 94 deville with the active audio

Hey Ronnie, that may be possible to do. Gonna have to make sure that the speaker is thick enough.

I’m stuck trying to figure out which harness I need to bypass the factory amp to put an aftermarket amp and subs in I bought the amp bypass harness do I plug it into amp or does it get hooked up to the antenna thing ur showing

Good Morning, I'm sorry for the late reply to you. Do you know if your car has the upgraded active audio or the Bose system? If you have either one of those systems then you will need this bypass harness. However, if you have the standard system then you won't need this bypass harness.

It also looks like on some of your leads you have two wires going into one butt. Also you have an extra connector coming off the radio harness plugging into the short harness you ordered. Anyway you can tell me what wires have two connections going to one butt connector?

I have the basic system so do I still need the bypass bc I put in a flip out in it didn't come on so I put it in my Ford in it came directly on

If you have the basic system in your car. Then you won't need this kit. You'll just need the regular GM radio harness

When I wire it in my Ford it comes straight on no problem the Cadillac it won't fit some reason

Not sure if you know enough to tell me what I need for bypass harness and wiring adapters at the power head but my car is the exact same as yours except I don't have the app and at the receiver or powerhead I only have two connectors, there is no antenna plug in it the power head either.Ive look all across the web and couldn't find a wiring schematic that color codes match my vehicle wiring .I have only two connectors at the powerhead and no antenna plug in, so do you know what connector or adapters I might need ?

How did your double din radio fit

Good Morning Keith, it actually fit pretty good. I had to go a little trim at the rear inside the dash. And the wood trim actually locked up the radio up where I didn't need a install kit. That's really all you will have to rely on because there's no install kit for a double din for 94 and 95 model years. They only had them for 96 and up model years

How did you stop the radio from moving side to side? Did you put some shims on each side?

@@connorwhitaker610 Hey Connor, Actually to be honest with you my radio actually was a secure and tight fit within the bezel. But you would have to get a bezel from one of these cars from 94 and 95 model years for it to work

I have the active audio but doesn't have the brain box the metra bypass connections are there I connected it all turns on but no audio?

Did you check your connections on the bypass? I had a similar issue when I did mine back a little bit ago. I had a couple of connections that were off

Yah, on my 92 deville my power steering lines failed, so I'll be putting mine in this weekend when they come in. No noise from the pump, so I'm hoping 🙏🏾 it's just the lines and not my power steering pump.

Great video homie. I’ve got a 93 deville I just bought and the radio hasn’t worked since I owned it. Do you know if you have to use the amp bypass kits for just the base 4 speaker systems? Was going to stay stock speakers for now and just wire in my subs and a new double din

Yes all 11 speakers work without any issues. I recently upgraded my speakers to Pioneer it made a great difference

Also just curious but why didn't u butt connect the TUNER BYPASS HARNESS to the STEREO Wire harness. And not have to have the extra connector plugs in the middle

Hey Anthony, You can't butt connect the tuner bypass harness to stereo wiring harness because you have to wire it to the other harness plug

With the ACTIVE AUDIO stereo just like yours only a year younger but not a while year. It was manufactured in NOVEMBER of 93 lol I also watched the trunk release repair video and the air ride situation video u made. Having all those problems with my Caddy

Just curious, I have a 98 deville and I wired it all straight to the power source, 12v constant, and made my own ground. My battery kills a cell about every 3 months. Do you have this problem with your deville? It’s only been like that since I’ve changed the factory stereo out.

@@planemain6381 No sir. I have no factory radio hooked to the aftermarket stuff. I even changed out the speakers, kept the factory tweeters, and the amp. And it sounds really good

Hey Peter, actually my car didn't have the Bose system. My Deville was equipped with the Active Audio System. It also has the 11 speaker setup similar to Bose. But since it has the upgraded amp from the factory, this wiring harness is needed. I lucked up and found the needed harness from off Ebay for like $30
