Did you need the bypass harness that runs from the back of the trunk to the front of the car? And would the scosche connector work also as the connector you used on the car? I have that same radio exactly

Some of them work some don't mine fits but can't find the right diagram so I'm just going end up rewiring everything to have the only thing I know of his positive and the ground

I have a 99 Deville and when I went to go get my aftermarket stereo installed they said that they would have to move the stock deck to the trunk. Am I missing something or are they just trying to gouge me for unnecessary work?

Question, My 97 Deville concours stereo will not work at all. I know its not the stereo itself because i already tried to others factory stereos and same issue. The issue is only static noise will come out ALL speakers, on any mode tape,cd changer, radio. I dont think its the speakers either. Do you think it could be the amp? dont know what else. Thanks, i suggest checking with sonic electronix and their vehicle fit guide to see if you have the correct wiring harness adapter. If so, it may be the amplifier or your wiring configuration. You can always bypass the factory amplifier, but that is a job all in itself. My suggestion is to double check the harness you are using for compatibility and ensure that the blue / white wire on your harness is hooked up (which triggers the factory amp to turn on)

Can I get some help please. 1999 Deville base non-bose system. I bought the dash package included harness and antenna adapter no interface. I removed the stock radio and connected the aftermarket radio Nothing no power. Reinstalled the stock radio and Nothing no power. I had to have the car reprogramed. I understand I need a special interface harness for the RAP. Can you shed some light please. Thank you for your time.

Where did you connect the yellow back up camera and the red one?

The yellow cable is the video cable from the camera, it goes to the video reverse camera input of the radio. The red one is your power wire for the camera, it plugs into reverse light power and ground.

Don't simply match colors as factory wiring does not color code to aftermarket. I do have one question that has been keeping me from installing my own system in my 98 deville... What about the car's security system? I've heard numerous horror stories about locking the car's system down after a custom install without the proper wiring interface since the security system runs through the factory stereo... (i think LC-GMRC-03 Wiring Interface is the right one), but i've never had to bypass a security system for a stereo install before so I've yet to do it in this car.

On this unit, just ground the parking brake wire. combine it with the ground wire in the harness. See 3:24

The antenna cable connector can be bent back straight. It is only bent at a 90* angle.

I don't understand why you would use hot glue on there on a hot day when that radio heats up it will definitely melt to liquid again

I don't think you have used hot glue before as the melting point is about 250 degrees F. You let me know when your car gets that hot...
