I have heard Simone Weil talked about the same thing, and Saint John of the cross, and Peter Kingsley, and the Heart Sutra. But this lecturer used the plainest language to portray it. Well done. Wish all seekers reach their goal.

That I am is prior to what I am and who I am and is that from which they arise and to which they return. Zero = All - inclusive - being aware of being aware is the experience of that I am, wherein perceiver, perceiving and perceived are one. This is our true identity, our inner Wholeness. One = Continuum Two = poles of the continuum Three = innermost, midmost, outermost Four = Conversion = diversified unity actualizing as unified diversty (Uni - verse) converting experience into awareness and awareness into experience. Five = food of impressions = calibrating feedback. Six = interpretation Seven = mentation Eight = metanoia Nine = mutation Ten = Replication Eleven = Self - mastery Twelve = Perfection

Plotinus was not a sub Saharan African. Very silly for grimes to claim so. I guess that’s meaningful to him while not to Plotinus himself. As a result, dude has questionable judgment.

How do you know that Plotinus wasn’t? How does this potential misattribution in any way slight or vitiate Grimes’ understanding of the philosophy of Plotinus? I guess the significance one could consider in regards to Grimes’ comment, which is antithetical to your position, but worth considering, is that this is an attempt to connect the wisdom tradition of the Hellenes with the wisdom tradition of the Egyptians. It does have some bearing in regards to what someone like Schwaller de Lubicz says (in the Temple of Man) of the relations between the Greeks and Egyptians as well as the many other references sprinkled throughout history of famous Greek philosophers being initiated at the Pyramids.

@@bhagavaankeemahima1910 it’s a pretty bizarre thing to say and there’s literally no reason to believe it. It’s says something about Mr. Grimes judgement

@@aliensdidit8452 There’s “literally” no reason to believe what you’re told about him from established historians. Did you catch the lecture on Proclus where he cites a series of books called ‘Black Athena’ about an well documented, inveterate historical effort on the part of establishment historians to downplay the role of Africa’s contributions to the wisdom tradition? Not to belabor my earlier point, but to recapitulate it because you and the original commenter keep ignoring it: have you looked into the work of Schwaller De Lubicz and John Anthony West at all? They come to the same conclusions independently of Grimes, and it is significant because what they are trying to do is locate the wellspring of these traditions since they permeate the whole region. It makes all the difference in the world. Can you please explain to me why it is such a strange comment to talk about a person’s potential place of birth, especially when we understand the significance and role of conditioning in shaping one’s worldview, particularly being exposed to traditions that are endemic to a certain locale. What are you trying to insinuate about him on the basis of him mentioning that? I have put forward a suggestion and reasons about the significance of his remarks. You have not. What is your reasoning behind what you say? The onus of proof is on he or she who asserts the positive.

Buddhism and the Dao are only symbolic of the truth of Christianity they are religions of the creature and the created thing. Christianity is the religion of the Creator and not the created thing.
