1995 GMC Jimmy Rear Window Retainer Clip Repair

In this video we are repairing the rear window retainer clip. The clip breaks and will not let the rear window latch release the window.

Helpful tip to add to your - Awesome Video, that our professional service information service (Mitchell) does not show how to pop open the window if this clip breaks. Right where you feel that soft spot in the trim fabric area is the tip. The fabric covers a small rectangular cut out that allows you to cut or punch through the fabric and push in a small or medium sized screw driver or pick tool. You poke around and slide the lever that the actuator is clipped to. Your measure up advice was spot on but you can skip that and go right through the hidden opening. Hope this helps.

The hole works. I drilled a one inch and plugged it with a chrome electrical knockout plug.

i installed the whole actuator instead of blue clip.The problem i had was that the actuator would not touch latch to unlock it. I had to put a nail pointing down so when actuator moved it would strike the nail to open. Can you help with an answer why ?

1996 jimmy.. Lol my prob was the interior lamps.. fuse blew. Then I realized they on the same circuit, back window and int. Lighting.. sheesh I miss my 94 s10 blazer
