Whenever I'm filling up or hanging out at meets/shows, I always let people sit in it, ride with me, or drive it. Tons of younger guys like myself love these cars, but unless anyone lets them experience the cars, they won't know if they really want to drive one or be able to see what they look for 🤷‍♂️

That's a sweet impala! I have a 94 caprice ls with the b4u package and its great. It's ride quality is amazing and the power is a plus. People expect it to be slow but it definitely can move. They just don't make them like they used to anymore.

From my perspective, they're fun in lightly modified form but wouldn't call them fast. They can shit and get cruising above 130 though 😂

@@bom_LS2_gtoyeah I’ve been watching a lot of 96 impala videos lately! I really want one again but this time a black in and 96. My previous one I owned was a 95 and the previous owner painted it pearl white since pearl was very popular and I bought it when pearl paint jobs were starting to end their era. Well it got totaled I was on the entry ramp on the freeway someone enter behind ran into me. That was the cars end after losing the battle with top State Farm and getting Pennie’s for it “it was caprice with a impala ss special package” I was done with impalas but a few years back I got the itch to own one again and I think I’m super duper close of that happening soon fingers crossed. Spoke to the current owner who’s had his sitting for years in his driveway and it’s getting beat just sitting there. Seems like I talked him into letting me get it we will see what happens

The steering boxes aren't the tightest in these cars, but a good steering linkage assembly helps. I used a Proforged kit to help lessen it, makes it much nicer to drive on the highway!

The nicer car you start with, the better it'll be long term. LT1's are nothing but weird SBC's snd are pretty easy to do maintenance on. 96 specific things like shifter cables and center center consoles will be easier to keep nice than to find a better one. 4L60E's still kinda suck, but other than general maintenance they're fairly worry free. Lot of good community made parts on the table (custom tails, custom grills, interior pieces and upholstery). Even though I'm the minority in how I like B-body cars to look, the community is still pretty damn good.

But I’d like to spec it similar to yours. It would be a nice touch to upgrade the headlights/taillights as well. Little modern look with some LEDs maybe.

@@J.G.Romo.W. usually you can tell how a car was treated by the seats and dash. Nice seats or a good dash in one piece are worth a pretty penny, and usually go pretty quick if they're for sale. You still on Instagram by chance?

Took it through 30°F weather almost 3 hours north to Chicago two years ago. Good heater, comfortable ride and seats. Adding an actual cup holder was a big plus. Only complaint was a spark plug wasn't perfectly tight due to header clearance that took a couple minutes to snug up at a rest area
