Lions fans have seen these kinds of endings for 62 years. Last second field goals, dropped passes, fumbles, etc. They have been snakebit forever it seems. Like the Cubs one day it will change. When? There isn't a more heartbreaking franchise in the NFL. That includes the Browns, Falcons, Redskins, or whoever you want to compare them to. One playoff win in 62 years. No division titles since 1993 and only 3 division titles since 1967. Just plain weird.

Goldust Mitchell was absolutely a brutal QB. got WAY overpaid to come to Detroit. it’s been a minute but if i remember correctly, Mitchell and the Lions did have the league’s best offense one year and the number two the following year. back when they had Mitchell, Sanders, Herman Moore, Brett Perriman, Johnnie Morton, David Sloan, Schlesinger, Tommy Vardell and probably a few more i’m forgetting. Mitchell was an absolute shitty QB 95% of the time. but for those two years the stars all aligned and the team didn’t look so bad offensively
