1998-2013 Rear Tour-Pak Speaker Install

Hi my friend ! I need help, i have this bike with rear speakers, and amplifier and 54amp stator with rectifier… but charging 13 volt !!! On stop… i dont under stand, your bike is ok with this configuration ? Or my bike is bad ? Tks for your help (my amp is punch pbr300x4)

Hi @felipebalit1024 , if I understand correctly, the amplifier is shutting off? If you are using speaker line outputs from the radio, the amp is not seeing +6V DC offset. If this is the case, or you are using RCA outputs, be sure to connect the REM terminal to a switched 12V source.

Hi Adrian, We have speakers, but don't have "brackets" since our models install directly to the factory TourPak seat speaker enclosure. I have a 2011 road glide what do I do with the input/ output wires off the harness if not equipped with factory speakers?

@@mikemarrs8035 Great! Thank you for those model numbers. Since the motorcycle doesn't have factory speaker wiring, you can use our replacement harness to get the audio from the radio. You'll need this harness to connect to the spade connectors that feed the input to the amplifier. You can find this connector kit here: rockfordfosgate.com/products/details/1130-72997-01/

I don't need that, I have already ran the harness provided with the amp install kit from amp to rear, just wasn't sure what to do with in put and output wires at rear being I don't have a factory harness to plug input wires to.

@@mikemarrs8035 The purple/green harness included with the RFK-HD9813M5 only contains the REAR speaker outputs from the radio. The above harness would allow you to get both FRONT & REAR.

Will 6.5 speakers fit the stock rear pods?

1998 - 2013 models require a 5.25" speaker size and the 2014+ models require a 6.5".
