Thanks man! Oh I see, yeah, so at the bottom where you see the "S" , that will always show the current driving mode you're in. Now, if you have the "Display Theme" configured/linked to always match the driving mode you're in, they'll be the same. However, in the video I have it set so that I could manually select the "Tour" display theme while still driving in "Sport" (S) mode. Hope that clears it up!

@1Brain4Wheels6 жыл бұрын
wdwinder1 does it only do that when you select coolant temp or is that with any other gauge type selection? If it’s just with that one, it must be a software glitch... if it were my car I would disconnect the battery for a few minutes to restart the computers and see if that fixes it.
@wdwinder16 жыл бұрын
Thanks, I tried the battery off reset. No joy. Yes, it seems to be only coolant temp. And even stranger, if I configure it, shut down, and refire right away, its there. Leave it off for a while and its not there on a restart.

wdwinder1 sorry for the delay, I just saw your response :/ Hmmmm, that’s so weird, I honestly have no idea why that’s doing that? Maybe next time you bring the car in to the dealer, see if they can flash the computer for you and that’s got to take care of it 🤞

You seemed to focus on the items that are most important. I derived the best info from your video. Like you to cover how you can go in and out of fuel economy 4 cylinder to 8 cylinder mode most effectively. Does it go into default 8 cylinder when you are going up a hill? Questions like this are important.
@srskypuppy2 жыл бұрын
Hi David, If you are in V4 mode it will switch to V8 mode any time you apply more throttle. It will switch back when you get to a flat or downhill. You can prevent V4 mode by installing a "RANGE" device that plugs into the OBD port under the dash. Recommend using a switched OBD cable to prevent battery drain.

Cool, I’m glad the video was able to clarify that system for you! @1Brain4Wheels5 жыл бұрын
Thanks, I'm glad you appreciate the video! Honestly, I only initially put the oil pressure gauge up because it seemed like a gauge that should be on the screen haha... in retrospect, either that or the temp gauge would be good for regular driving - if at the track, then maybe engine temp. or trans temp. would be more useful, but really it's up to you! That's what's nice with configurable gauges :)

@1Brain4Wheels5 жыл бұрын
@@countwalker9362 That sounds good too, removing the fuse honestly only makes a difference in a narrow RPM range anyways. Just so you know though, pulling the fuse will not void your warranty at all, it doesn't effect the engine's operation and can simply be replaced back into the fuse panel with no record of it etc. (unlike tuning out the AFM valves operation.) I know some people on the forums say this, but there's just no truth behind those claims, just as an FYI in case you change your mind in the future :)

my fuel gauge an range is not giving any reading, any suggestions?
@1Brain4Wheels6 жыл бұрын
Sky Murph hi there! Just to clarify, besides the range read out in the screen, is your actual fuel gauge (the physical dial in the instrument cluster) also not giving a reading? If that’s the case, it’s got to be something with the sensor in the fuel tank... I feel really unhelpful saying this, but have you tried disconnecting the battery for a few minutes to try to reset the digital readout? I think that would only do anything if your physical fuel gauge is working properly though.
@skymurph49986 жыл бұрын
The gauge is reading empty also, have not tried battery disconnect yet but appreciate any suggestions
@1Brain4Wheels6 жыл бұрын
Sky Murph oh, in that case it’s got to be the sensor in the tank or some wire disconnected? I’m not sure if they use a float as the sensor or not in these, but this definitely sounds like an issue for a mechanic since whatever the problem is will most likely be pretty involved as far as tracing the wires or actually pulling the tank. :/

@1Brain4Wheels4 жыл бұрын
Hey there Scott, congrats on your C7! While the Corvettes don't have the line lock built in (that's awesome that Ford did that), they do have varying degrees of launch control... since your's has the eLSD and Mag Ride (because it''s a Grand Sport), you do have the full on launch control - when you put the car in Track Mode, double press the traction control button next to the electronic parking brake and you can select the different modes in the speedo display. Then just hold the brake and gas and let her rip! Also, the C7 does have a G force meter, but I don't think it will record the highest G's during a 1/4 mile, but if you use the PDR that will all be recorded anyways so you can go back and review it manually. :) As for the diff. temp, I actually can't remember, but I think it might... this video wouldn't have had it for sure because this was made with my original base model Corvette, but I would scroll through the gauge menu when you get yours and see if you might have it.

Fuel economy odd 36 best and 12 avg. You must be really driving it hard to average 12 mpg over last 50 miles. But at the same time managed 36 mpg at some point over last 50 miles?????
@1Brain4Wheels6 жыл бұрын
ConcernedConservative that page is actually a little misleading-the “Best” 36.3 mpg is a lifetime value for the car (unless it’s been reset) whereas the green bar visual and the “Avg.” are over the last 50 miles. But I do drive it hard from time to time ;)

but where is gas gauge, or is that a stupid comment for a new vette owner.
@1Brain4Wheels4 жыл бұрын
Haha, not a stupid question, the fuel icon is actually pretty small in this gauge cluster but it’s one of the few analog gauges on the car - it’s the upper gauge on the right side of the cluster, right above the analog water temp. gauge :)

Lifetime Rev's...See Rev Match.
@1Brain4Wheels6 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure if the Rev Match feature has anything to do with the counter, I believe it just counts the total number of revolutions the engine has performed throughout its life? I could be wrong though...

Hey Frank, hope you're still enjoying your ride - as for tips, the only thing I can say is drive the heck out of it, such a waste seeing these cars with low miles haha

@1Brain4Wheels4 жыл бұрын
@@countwalker9362 Oh no, that sucks! What did they say was wrong with it or are they just going to replace it? Occasionally something like this happens, thankfully I haven't hear of any widespread computer issues with the C7s.
