What Drive Mode and Display Theme do you use most of the time in your C7 Corvette? I'm usually in Sport Mode with the Track Theme.

Great, informative video - well done! I’ve had my 2017 Z06 for about 3 months now so I’m still playing with my gauge preferences, so this was good. I tend to default to the Sport setting with the center speedometer, but like to play around with the settings.

New 2019 2LT GS owner ... love the car. Probably the best explanation of the dash and drive modes. You for got the ones on the view screen on middle console section. BTW ... we also have a 2019 Mustang GT ... sorry to say the digital dash on that is eons ahead of the Vettes. The customization you can do on that is sick. With the Stang you can even change colors you see and the ambient lighting. Love both cars... Vette is a coupe and the Stang is a convertible ( it is my Wife’s)

Congrats on the new GS! I can't get enough of mine...clearly. HA! I appreciate the kind words. The electronics in a vehicle tends to be the first "outdated" feature as time goes on. It's not bad, but like you said, the dash on the Mustang is ahead of that on the Corvette. Have you seen the C8 dash in person? Very nice. Stay healthy and enjoy that car. Team 512 ... yes we seen the new 2020 they had a Silver one and a black one. I live 10 miles from the 2nd biggest Vette dealership in the World. I dont really like the 2020’s ... to me they look like a poor mans Ferrari or Lambo

Hey, hi from England. I have a 2017 Grand sport and usually go with sport mode with the real time average fuel economy display. I then have the head up display in track mode and watch the revs and change lights there. I tend to mess about with the pocket gauges but don’t actually look at them often. I like the horsepower display but when your pushing on it don’t tend to watch it 😮
@YellowVette044 жыл бұрын
That's a lot to wrap your head around. I like the simplicity of the C5 analog gauges 🤣. Kidding, it's nice to be able to personalize it to your own liking.

Okay.... here’s one for you. Those little shift dots at the top of the track display. They come on sometimes when I’m driving and others it doesn’t. What makes them turn on?
@Team5124 жыл бұрын
Steve, I had the same question when I first got the car. Here’s what I found was happening...they come on much sooner when the car is cold. As the car heats up, the red line gets pushed further out towards 6500rpms and the lights come on much later. I found I was shifting too soon when the car warmed up for the lights to activate. So now I just hammer on it and see them everytime! See if you notice them more when the car is cold.
@ProtectiveDadPranks4 жыл бұрын
Team 512 literally. That’s when I saw them. Right when I drove off. Then after it warmed up. I stopped seeing them. Track display/Sport

In the Performance display my 2019 only allows me to press right on the performance timer. Cannot edit the guages. And the guages look different. They're white vertical bars.

what year was the gauge display updated to show tire pressure and numeric engine/trans temps on a single page? I know it's at least on the 2018 not sure if it was on the 2017. my 2015 shows tire pressure on one page or a non-numeric bar graph for temps on another page. only way to get a digital reading on a 2015 is on the touring display the updated page im referencing is in the track display

I know this video is 4 years old but hoping you will still respond. In the track mode display I find it odd that I cannot select engine coolant temp on the 4 small engine gauge displays. I have a Z06 so I do not have coolant temp on the right side below the fuel display, I have supercharger boost. Coolant temp seems to only be selectable as a single display in the middle of the cluster. Am I missing something? What I want are the 4 small gauges with oil press, oil temp, trans temp and coolant temp. Can configure the first 3 but not the coolant temp.
@Team5124 ай бұрын
I don’t think you can replace boost with another gauge. But not completely sure.
@orestkucyna55464 ай бұрын
@@Team512 , no the boost is a permanent gauge on the cluster, so the only way I can see coolant temp is vis the selectable gauges. It’s either 4 small gauges where coolant is not selectable, or a single coolant gauge. You would think in the track mode you want to see all vital oil and coolant temps.

I use the sport mode mostly, as I seen you scrolling I seen the engine mode and reminded me of a question. What have you heard about lifter issues causing engine damage due to the switching from V8 to V4 mode? I’ve seen a few videos on this issue, mostly dealing with Silverados, but now have seen one involving a C7 and a engine change under warranty.
@Team5124 жыл бұрын
I have heard about a few different issues resulting from V4 mode, but it's difficult to understand how pervasive these issues actually are in the Corvette. Most of what I'm hearing centers around driveline issues with the autos (A8's). Having an M7, I'm able to avoid V4 mode altogether by staying out of ECO mode.

Team 512 may want to check out “Brink of Speed” and some of his subscribers comments on manuals about this issue. Rick Conti even hit on this issue slightly in his last video

In tour mode, can you change the battery voltage displayed in the 5 lines on the right hand side to let s say transmission fluid temperature? Awesome video. I m buying a C7 Z06 with only 3600 km (from 2017) , it s a competition/carbon 65 edition with actual real spring/damper suspension and a full revamp on the inside with alcantara everywhere. Problem is the price 110K Euro but that s the price over here in Belgium/Europe. This video is helpful to configure the cluster gauges and very well explained! Good job mate and take care. Ps: this video is 3 years old, did you get the new C8 in the meantime? I ll be using the track mode too cause I like the display of the RPM range and I like the direct read out of the engine, oil temperature and pressure, and transmission fluid temperature to ensure the engine is running ok.
