Rich, I'm with you on training over an hour (if your body is feeling up to it). Normally, my training sessions are about 1 hour... But I would say going 'too heavy' can be detrimental to your body (at least for a natural bb). I'm dealing with Golfer's elbow from going too heavy in the past (500 pound machine shrugs got me). But recently, I trained a little over 2 hours (back, shoulders, and traps), and it one of my best workouts yet. Now let's see some of your workout vids over 5 mins! Miss those!

I think rich is awesome. I mean he is very successful at almost whatever he does, He is right when it comes to bodybuilding give it your all. The only problem i have is sometimes his videos can discourage us Shift work with family folk. I remember back in college having all the time in the world to workout 3hrs a day and take yoga classes during school then go and workout again, but as time progressed I settled down in a nice home got a job and have a family now. So constantly battling the hours that i workout with the hours i spend time with my family and my little 1 year old. So just dont let some of this stuff discourage us "9 to 5%'s" Take the advice he gives that you know you can worth with. As long as you know you are busting your ass as much as you can and be thankful that we live in age where some one can share their knowledge on the internet be it Rich Piana, or Arnold. Just use what you can and dont bombard yourselves with constant info becuase it seems to change daily. Eat more get bigger Eat less get smaller and Work your ass off so at the end of the day you can say "Damn that hurt like hell but i fell pretty fuckin good now"

***** True. But if you train like rich does (high reps, low weight), in my opinion, you can't overtrain (natty). It's pure lazyness. If you train with heavy weight and low reps, yes, you can overtrain. I train with high reps 2 hours a day, 6 days a week. If you know what youre doing, it works :).

Thats the truth. Im Natty, and when i begin my "trainer" and everybody told me that i hade to do 20mins of every muscle and i never see change. And every time i saw a jacked dude in the gym they workout for more than 2 hrs. So when i decided to do the sale thing but even better than them and work for 4hrs and i put on 40 punds of muscle and 4% bodyfat. Ppl in the gym even thought i was taking steroids when i have been Natty all my life. So the more u put, the more u get out. No pain, no gain. God bless u all.

I've tried it. My shoulders, elbows and wrists were dying after 6 months of priority training chest. The key is to a few solid working sets every time you train a muscle group. Endless sets won't build size. Work smart not hard.

I dont really believe in over training a muscle if you have proper nutrition and plenty of sleep. But for most of us just starting havent put in time to have the right nutrition or sleep needed to grow. I am one of the people with poor nutrition and sleep. I tried it long time ago when I was a teenager! I was training my chest ones a week as everybody else! I wanted to improve my chest and of course my bench press max. weight! So I started to workout my chest 3 times a week and my shoulders and triceps 2 times a week! GUESS WHAT?! I went up in bench press from 150kgs 2 times to a 170kgs 2 times in WEEKS!!! My chest get bigger and stronger and I didn't used jack shit !!! Nothing! Just eating, working out and sleeping. PERIOD! BUT ! You can do this with only 1 or 2 muscles at the same time! To give them extra amount of workout ! If you natural and you gonna train your muscles and tear them down 3 time the week, GUESS WHAT?! You gonna overtrain you body and your body going to answer you! Higher heartbeat ratio by resting and so on ! I workout since 15 years and I know what am talking about! There is overtraining if you are natural ! But you need to do still a shit lot of workout to get there. I am not talking about workouts what 99% of the people do because they are just doing something. I push it till I die under the weights, I squat till I hit the floor and cant get up just craw. That is a workout !!!!
