I just saved myself almost $200. That's what a locksmith wanted to cut 2 new keys and program them. I went online and found out how to do it myself and both new keys work. I spent $6 on two new keys and $2.78 to have them cut at a hardware store. Next up will be two new remotes. I love KZbin for this kind of content.

0H 0H 0HHH! I watched. I don’t know how many videos this weekend after replacing the battery in my key fob. Every one of them said the reading in the vehicle needed to be on relearn remote. *Yep, worked on our 2009 Chevy Malibu! Locks didn't unlock and lock but I heard a click and went through the programming process and heard another "click" after holding the 2 buttons down.*

Before you replace a non-working key fob, try taking it apart and cleaning the contacts, where the button presses, with electrical contact cleaner. Mine were dirty.
