1s 2.5 inch Toothpick FPV quad | New 65mm HQ prop try

Really cool. I have used those HQ props on my 2.5" freestyle build. They are pretty flexi. I prefer the 65mm Gemfan, but run both brands. Mine is a 2-3s though so that makes it a little different. Nice little ripper 👍👍

Thanks! I mostly use the gemfan 65mm prop myself, but this is a relatively new ultra light prop. I just saw it recently and snapped it up. I'm not sure I'd try it on a 2s, I prefer to be able to screw the prop down. The hq T65 is probably better for 2s and above. This light prop on this configuration seems to work well ( so far the prop has not flown off the shaft). I don't know why the shaft doesn't have a through hole , but the engineers must know why :)

​@@TargetFPVThe HQs that I have are the push on style with no screw holes. I at times can't believe that they stay on. It sure looks like they work well on your build.

@@FpvBudgetBuilds This frame is designed by ParallaxFPV and is probably one of the best frames of its kind in my opinion. Which is no longer available unfortunately, as you can't find similar lightweight 2.5-3" frames anymore. Or I'm just looking in the wrong place :)

Cool build, looks incredibly smooth. You should probably make the FPV video the bigger window though, lol. I'd love to see the FPV video better. How thick is that battery holder? And how much does it weigh? Did you print it? I just rebuilt a 2" and turned it into a 65mm toothpick, and love it. Now I'm wondering if there's a big difference between a 65mm and a 3 inch. Do you have any opinions on 65mm vs 3" toothpicks?

Thank you! Next time I'll make the fpv feed a bit bigger. But here I tried to focus more on the sound and speed! The battery holder is about 1mm thick by default ,but I enlarged it to 2mm to get the battery away from the screws. It is maybe 1g and I printed it myself , the model is from here: www.thingiverse.com/thing:5861514 From my own experience the 2.5" (65mm prop) toothpick is more nimble, a bit more fiddly than the 3" toothpick. At first the 3" was too heavy and sluggish for me , but then I managed to lose a few grams and it flies much more enjoyable. The lighter the better it flies. The 3" can be faster but a little less biting. But each has its own enjoyment factor.

crazy fast, what speed is that? around 90 km/h? 50mph?

It's not that fast! ;) My 2-3s 2.5" gps quad could go 60-70km/h , this is maybe 40-50km/h I think (but I could be wrong). The camera distortion is deceiving though.
