1ST PLACE WINNER! Black Salvo DOOMSDAY deck profile (Yugioh Edison Format)

Took first place at my local edison scene! This deck might have some potential. Let me know what you all think!

You should consider cutting one salvo for one copy of Gale, it's an additional tuner if you're concerned with the count of tuners, and it a generically better card on it's own compared to Salvo. It's also searchable with tomato/ sangan etc

Three was definitely too much, so I actually swapped one for a Dark Eruption. I just love trying to get cute techs to work lol.

@@ZiaEdisonTCG Hey I have been playing the deck a bunch and have some things to say. First it is super consistent but I never seem to get the two draws from the train guy. Second I sometimes seem to start the game with way to many tributes and it makes it very Difficult to play. I’m also new so if you could somehow explain what to side in and when that would be great thank you! Also if you have some random matches that you could play that would be great thanks

I love the aesthetic and theme of the deck. The monsters and spells feel like a end of the world or darkish theme. I wonder how this would do in Over the nexus

Call of the haunted is a must with jinzo I thinks; I've never been the biggest fan of fires of doomsday, over say krebons or instant fusion. Machines are unfortunately, forever handicapped; 1 cyber dragon away from entering scoop phase. P.S. try out dark creator :)

Yeah one CyDra definitely hurts, but also not as bad as you think. Dekoichi doesn't stick around, you want it to get ran over, and Salvo is only sticking around to Snychro into something. Really just Jinzo and Valley are going to get removed easily by CyDra. I switched up the side deck to heavily play around anti-Dark stuff as well as Cydra, with cards like Alchemist and D.D. Warrior Lady. Good point on Call, might have to add that. I just felt with Black Salvo specifically, Fires does way more than Krebons, which takes your normal summon since E-Tele is a sack. Also Fire's tokens work great with Caius and Jinzo. It's a little janky but not bad. Dark Creator would require more GY set up and at that point the deck is turning into something else lol, though I originally did consider some kind of Dark Turbo build. ANYWAY lol, I need to do an update eventually, I've just kinda slowed down playing as of late.

Nah, Power Tool is just there for the 2300 beat in case I can't go into a level 8.

@@ZiaEdisonTCG ahh okay I was just confused cause I haven’t seen it in a Edison deck yet. I’ve tested this deck out too not bad out of every hand it’s been solid bricked once but getting the set up is tricky a bit sometimes do you play doomsday on your opponents turn?

@@dhgincursio3752 Yes, you pretty much always want to set Doomsday and use it on your opponent's turn, preferably after their battle phase so you can keep both tokens (or sometimes I'll use it on the last attack to block it and keep one token.) I've made some changes and I'll do an update here soon. I dropped one Black Salvo cause it was getting annoying see it without Dekoichi in the grave. Also the deck absolutely dies to Consecrated Light so I changed up my side deck to turn it into a Chaos build.

I haven't, I would be interested to see if it works better, though it's a tight squeeze and a lot of reworking would need to be done.

Ah, never considered if the new printing matched up with Edison rulings. Well that's fine, Dark Illusion was really just a cute Pulling the Rug replacement, which just got a reprint so I got a couple copies of it!
