Thanks for checking out our AC/DC reaction. After watching the 1977 version, we watched TNT live at River Plate. The River Plate version got blocked by the record label so we can't upload it.

Bon was actually a pretty decent lyricist and underrated. He loved to write where he was the butt of the joke and didn’t take himself that seriously. He wore a dress on the Australian Top of the Pops back in 1976 when cross dressing wasn’t a thing in pop culture. Definitely a Bon Scott version of Whole Lotta Rosie should be next for an AC/DC song.

The "duck walk" was a tribute to Chuck Berry, one of his heroes, who was known for doing that same move. The outfit was his actual school uniform- he was still in school when they formed the band and he'd go straight to band practice after school still wearing his uniform. His sister thought he looked cute in it and suggested he wear it all the time when they played.

Should have done the recorded version instead of the live version , reactors always do this with AC/DC and I don’t understand why 😂

Because ac/dc live makes them one of, if not, the greatest band of all time. Second to none, only a handful of bands equal their greatness live. Doing it in a studio and doing it live is a real difference. There are a few bands (like AC/DC) that make it look easy. If you're gonna react, may as well react to the best version. Giving up recording quality is a small price to pay for performance quality. Seeing them live back in them days is unexplainable. They were beyond incredible.

The audio on this live version isn’t very good. You couldn’t hear the “TNT“ backing vocals. If it’s the first time hearing a song, I think you should do the studio version first so you get a sense of what the song is supposed to sound like.

Bon Scott was definitely the guy to take AC/DC to the next level... 'T.N.T.' was recorded in 1975. Before that, they had a singer Dave Evans, who was just OK... watch him perform 'Can I sit next to you girl' in 1974 w/ AC/DC... Scott gave them a sound & edge they didn't have before. In 1977 when this was filmed for British TV, AC/DC were promoting the album 'Let there be rock' and were becoming successful in Europe... and starting to tour the US. Bon Scott and his replacement Brian Johnson were different, but shared similar influences in 50's rock n roll music. They were the same age... both came from working class families... and yhey both struggled to make a career in music before joining AC/DC. However, Bon Scott was known to be a ladies man and loved to party offstage... while Johnson is more of a family man, loved to race cars and drank moderately...

Bon Scott was like Scott Weinrich (aka Wino), and Lemmy. He was a genuine outlaw. He made no apologies or excuses. He was honest about who he was and the way he lived.

Your first exposure to AC/DC was post Brian Johnson which by that point was an arena/festival packing band, this was that point where AC/DC still had Bon, arguable the best rock and roll front man ever, were just moving from playing rough and tumble pub circuit to starting to gain enough of a following to fill a theatre. Sadly just when they reached the precipice of the fame they would eventually enjoy with Brian Bon Scott died, inebriated, cold, alone and forgotten in some rando's car one frigid English morning. The band and Brian were blessings to each other and a promise of some Pictish Goddess of music that nothing would stop these son's of Scotland from climbing to the peak of Rock Stardom and become an institution!

I've seen AC/DC live as a teen. I remember one time waiting in line for 12 hours to get tickets. It was fun though hanging out with the other fans. I was so excited when I finally held the tickets in my hand and it was well worth it! I still have the ticket stub and also from every concert that I went to. My friends (that I still know to this day) had the best time and AC/DC of course was "awesomely" loud....ha,ha,ha!
