11 year old Angelina could kick most of the blues and rock'n'roll singers of the 60s right off the scene. Amazing ❤

The long intro was likely Angelina's insistence, based on seeing her in the early closeup offstage cheering and clapping for the band. She clearly appreciates this music. At 11 yrs of age!

she will one day be a cultural icon. Documentaries will reach back to these less than perfect recordings to show how a younger Angelina sang before becoming the world-wide super star that she is destined to one day be.

We are all impatient, we are all waiting where that Angelina and suddenly she comes out in white and gives such an incredible show of blus singing that her jaws drop! It's just Unbelievable how an 11-year-old feels the blues! Epic!

One of my hundred favorites from her! :) Here we have Angelina unleashing her power to rock down the house, going into her beast mode!! Rock on Angie!!
It's worth a waiting for our dear Angelina Jordan. All of us know A.J is a Super Talented Singer. There is no Songs she can not sing . This is her greatest free gift to all her Fans including me. To make us happy with her Songs. Thanks for all her Reactors. God bless Angelina Jordan and her family. Also all her Fans and Reactors. Hoping for only the best for you All.
Hi again... this is standard procedure when opening a show. Intro: Band warms up the crowd and builds the excitement and anticipation of the star 🔥❤💯 This is among one of Angelinas first ever AJ concerts in Norway and as always she killed every song - every show!!! thanks!
At eleven years old, I was playing "Batman & Robin" at school recess, and skinning my knees in bicycle wrecks. C'mon, Angelina! Did you really have to make life more unfair for us mere mortals!? Lol! Just kidding, girl! "Lovin' You" so much .... Millions of us!

It would have been awkward for her to be on stage during that long intro. It made sense to wait to bring her on. This is a fantastic performance by a singer of any age. For an 11-year old it is almost supernatural. I just love the way she belted it out at the end of the set. Blew me away.

👩🏻🎤🎵🌎⭐️🇳🇴❤️ My god, she's amazing! I've never seen this before! How insanely good is Angelina going to be when she's 20!?!?!?
Those who wait for something good do not wait in vain, is something we say in Norway. It is worth waiting for the dessert. You impress me, you are always respectful in your reactions, even when the time to wait is longer than a guitar solo😂
AJ delivering rockin’ Bluesy jazzy goodness. The girl is talented and versatile.

Fan video and we are very grateful, even if the music is a little overpowering, Angelina come's on strong! Remember, she is only 11 here. Angelina Jordan, Are You Lonesome Tonight .Her speaking voice is just as(almost) magnificent as her singing voice.
She is maybe the only one to bring ETTA´s soul again in ALL one´s heart

I thought AJ was going to sing the haunting song I first heard in 1974. It has these lyrics from the top of my head: Loving you is easy ...cause your beautiful........very day of my life is filled with loving you. I was very young when I first heard it and I thought it would be a wonderful song for Angelina to sing and to listen to her singing it in her own unique way. It’s a passionate song of beautiful imagery.
@@HAP3SPEAKZ the band had to take a long time with the introduction to warm up just so they could even approximate Angelina's abilites! LOL!

This song was probably the closing song of Angelia’s performance and as a budding professional, she gave her backup band an opportunity to show their expertise and for the individual members to be announced, before she came on stage. There are some very good jazz instrumentalists in this band.
It was the *_opening_* song ... the pianist/band leader welcomes the audience and presents Angelina on to the stage

Thank you for this reaction to Angelina Jordan. Here she shows a little of her will rock side and she did it amazing . Like i have said before she can adapt her voice to any kind of music genre.
There was another singer in the past who was very shy as well. To those who personally knew him, he even admitted of self-doubt and stage fright before he would go on stage (neither of those two things I don't believe Angelina has). I think a few people have heard of him. Oh! His name? Seems he went by the name "Elvis Presley" (or something like that)! LOL! ;)
Ye Gods! Two surprises. First time I've heard this. So another nickname for her "The Rock Queen" and to put i"cing on the cake" I see I have yet another reaction of yours to listen to. Aomehow I'd missed seeing "Faded" A treaat to look forward to. Thank you for your devotion to Angelina.
This is from the annual Prøysenfestivalen, an annual festival to commorate Norways greatest singer-songwriter in 40ies, 50ies and partly 60ies - Alf Prøysen. The concert is held in the farmland were he was born.

Wow! My first time hearing this to. The actual title to this song is “ I Just Want To Make Love To You”. The Righteous Brothers sung this back in the 60’s....Angelina changed the the title...cuz we know that she’s too young to singing to the original...right? Exactly...but she does an excellent job singing this cover

Chad Garrett This is based on Etta James version, Released Nov. 1960, same album as “At Last”.
In the words of an old '50s song, "Crazy man, crazy. Man, that music's gone, gone!" Some real jazz pipes there!

Great review. Awesome performance and I can't wait for what is coming in the years to come and I hope this is one of the vocal lanes she frequents.
Shyness stems from fear. As a kid she didn't really know that she was supposed to be scared, but as she gets more and more scrutiny and attention, and at the same time becomes a teenager it's natural for her to become more self conscious. I've noticed that she really does not like it when there's a camera right in front of her. As she herself said, when she sings she goes to a magical place in her head and the attention or the camera probably bursts that bubble.
Think we could find some musical mutes for some of the musicians--Boots Randolf's group might have a few laying around that would work!!!
@ek-17074 жыл бұрын
I think the reason the musical intro was so long was to just build things up at the start of fairly long performance. She sang over a dozen songs in succession at this festival.
I think that the whole shy thing is just that singing is so easy and natural to Angelina. You hear the incredible for any age vocals, and at the same she can stay a child to deliver them. This confuses the brain to see the contradiction, child, adult sounds. What I love about it is that she can develop through her childhood naturally, not needing to embellish any lack of vocal skills. She is the wonderful mystery, perfect as is.
HAP3SPEAKZ same spell as she placed on the rest of us 😂

Kick starting the concert with some groovy music to get the crowd going :) .. and those howlings - straight from the heart to you At live concerts it's common for the band to start off the first song and the main artist usually makes an *_entrance_* after a while ... nothing to do with being shy

Originally a hit sung by Minnie Riperton and Richard Rudolph who both wrote the song (Minnie herself had a 5 octave colorgtura soprano range)great reaction👌👍)
One of the main problems with the sound on this is the auto compressor/limiter and level setting on the camera being used. In reality she would have sounded in better balance with the band.
This song was covered by the blues/ rock band Foghat in 1972 under the title "i Just Want To Make Love To You". I was surprised to see 11 year old Angelina make her grand entrance part way tnrough tbe song to perform it but was pleased when i heard the lyrics were changed and the song re-titled "Lovin' You". Sorry Foghat, you have to play second fiddle to Angelina's version.
This was the first song in the set. Gives the bsnd a chsnce to warm up. Not uncommon. As a former brass player, helps to get the chops warmed up. Etta James cover. She slightly changed the lyrics to make them more age approoriate
Roger, help us understand better how some instrument muting would help--I was raised on Boots Randolph stuff, and some stuff just out-of-line for my ears.

As you said, the band was mixed way to loud in this video. But remember this was not a professional recording, it was a fan recording using a ordinary video camera. Boris has done some audio mixing of the other clips from this session, I am not sure if he did it on this one. Nonetheless it is fantastic that these videos exists. I also thinks they adjusted the mixing later in the show. Regarding her shyness, I would not call it shyness but more that she is reserved. That is cultural, Norwegian/Scandinavian s have traditionally been more reserved, even if we Norwegians in later years have become more 'bragging' abroad. And she is only 11 here, even with her enormous talent and capabilities, she is not acting precocious. I have been at 2 of her concerts, and it is hard not to look at her as a professional, grownup artist. But when you start talking to her you realize that she ( luckily) still is a kid. Many thanks to her family for letting her have a normal childhood.
I think the reason she was shy is because the lyrics actually say "I just want to make love to you." And it isn't really age appropriate for her to sing. So omits a few words.
@@HAP3SPEAKZ , if you want to see a better version where you can hear her more clearly over the band, and that shows her closer up, and accompanied by two other female backup singers, she did an ENCORE of this song at the end of this show. It's also on KZbin, and it's much better quality in bringing out her vocals more clearly over the band, and showing more of her facial gestures as she's more into the song.

I think 11 through 13 can be hard on girls emotionally, just saying I had a family of all girls, even the most outgoing girls can get a little more insecure going through those changes. Angelina is still wonderful and in a year or two she will be even better than she is now
She's clearly changed the words a bit to make it more age appropriate. instead of I just want to make love to you (as sung by Etta James) , it's just: I just waana be loving you. Very sensible, given her young age. Perhaps shy isn't the right word, she's humble, which is rther different. And not common these days.

At one point in the song see put her hand to her chin. In the studio videos she does that when she is thinking. She might of saw something that she did not like or wanted to change in the future. The horns did drown her out. But she did great anyway.

This time they started with this song (Etta James "I want to make love to you") and the band started with a 'warm up'. Two days earlier the song was the last song, then they made the song differently. AJ rewrote the lyrics to fit an 11 year old girl.

This will be a shocking performance! kzbin.info/www/bejne/gIiagoWQqdGHsKc
@HAP3SPEAKZ I have heard you say a few times that when someone covers a song, it needs to be as good or better than the original because those of us who are very familiar with the original will be their worst or best critic. Well here I am This was supposed to be a cover of "Cold Blood - I just Wanna Make Love To You" It's sad when the band is not up to par with what I am expecting from hearing the original not only for so many years on my stereo system, but having also heard the original band perform this song in the early 70's Lydia was such a little firecracker on stage, I can still see her singing this song. The worst part of this performance was the band and being way over powering over AJ. Please watch Lydia Pense perform this with the awesome band she was with "Cold Blood - I just Wanna Make Love To You" posted Jul 26, 2011,

Arrangement. I think it really shook away from Angelina‘s performance. It seem to me like it made it a little too messy. I don’t know where takes away from Angelinas incredible vocals. I really enjoyed seeing her get a little looser and for one of the better word grooving. I’m a baby boomer so please forgive my perhaps anachronistic phrase. Thanks again
