Good to see you back out in the woods. The donated fire pit is a god send in the chilly months. I tend to fall asleep far too early and then find myself awake far to early after a visit to the conveniences. But, theres that feeling of one up against the elements, skills and drills Allan.

I think you needed that camp to break the drought so to speak . One thing I enjoy about solo winter camping is .....just drifting of into thoughts and quite time to reflect. Good video to kick your winter season off to a start.

I've never slept in a hammock, but I have slept under a tarp in the woods once, I cut up large bin bags and taped them together, to make a tarp and slept on the ground in a local pine wood. I was a teenager and it was the 80s. lol

Monsters, l remember hearing my first monster on a camp in the woods. Turned out to be a barn owl. But to a group of 12 year olds it was a monster alright. 😂 Thank heavens we had our trusty Gat guns. 😂 Good to see you back enjoying yourself. 😊

Good evening Allen. I am glad you were able to get outside for a bit. It is even better when you get to go with friends. The weekend after next, I will be taking my F2 out for a one, or two night trip. I will find out if it works for winter camping.
@frogmaster838 ай бұрын
I like the F2 but the floor is lightweight. Colder weather its nice to have something on the floor to help insulate from the cold ground. 👍 I use a poncho liner in mine as carpet. 😉

@@frogmaster83 I watched that in one of your videos, and I have bought one to use for that purpose. It should work out well. Thanks for the information.

It works well Andy. We had a good fire in it for about 10 hours and it coped well. Thanks mate.

I live in the southern US and today was the first day it has rained in 2 or 3 months. Burn bans all over mean no campfires which kind of put a damper on my camping spirits. But I've still managed to get out close to a dozen times so far this year.

Sounds perfect mate. Spring into Summer was very dry here but from the beginning of October its gone rubbish.

I went out for a camp at the weekend I’ve got the same tarp as you love the colour of the tarp, which we get a tent that colour
@frogmaster838 ай бұрын
It is my favourite. Love the loop placement and the black underside.

Sorry for the late comment - what tarp is it?? I’m on the hunt for a new one, and that one looks perfect!

Excellent video. Only one minor complaint. You didn't record the pub lunch. I spent last weekend unblocking my grey water pipe. Bastard of a job but I got there. Anyway, your video really cheered me up Allan. Glad to see you cheerful mate. Question, what do you think of the Belgian back packs and tent's ? I'm thinking of getting them.
@frogmaster838 ай бұрын
I have never recorded in the pub before, maybe I should one day. The Belgian gear is good, love the "Jigsaw" camo.
