Hey off grid fam! I’m following the journey! I’m glad y’all are documenting the journey. I broke my lease 2 years ago and moved off grid on 87 acres in a 10x12 shed and it has been quite an experience! One piece of advice I can give is to get as much free stuff in the city as you can and build with that. Good luck with the journey!

Wow, that's the way to do it! It's nice to hear from others going strong doing this. Thank you for the advice about the free items 😊

Great job, I may have missed this in another video, dumb question...but why the rebarb wire for those pillars?
@journey2homestead3 күн бұрын
There are no dumb questions here. The rebar helps reinforce the pillar and will absorb any tension that would cause it to crack/fail.

Hello I’m trying to figure out how your building a home over 200 sq with out and owner builder opt out permit cause you cannot obtain one Under 4 acres so technically your building illegally i own land in Cochise county too so I’m just trying to figure out how you got around it and also do you even have a septic cause that is also mandatory so let me know how your getting around this cause i would really love to know thank you

1. As the title/content of the video shows we are not currently building a home, we are building a fence under 7ft so no permit is needed if we aren't in the process of building a home. 2. We do not live on the land, so we do not need to put in a septic yet. We have put in a lot of research before buying our land, and we have no intention of doing anything illegal. You may want to pair with the Cochise County Permit office (as we have) to get any information you may be looking for. Thanks for watching!
