Dang. That is some beautiful fabrication. Nice work.

Thank you! It's time consuming building from scratch, but if it turns out nice then it's all worth it.

Looks sick,can't wait to hear this thing run!. I own a colorado LWN 2.8 here in NZ, slowly stock piling parts for a rebuild. You are probably the only dude doing this stuff!.
@breoll867 ай бұрын
I can't wait to fire this thing up! I know I'm not the first, and I won't be the last. Might be the only one to go this far with it. There's not a ton of info out there.
@blainebailey46797 ай бұрын
Probably the only guy doing this to a Camaro but the 2.8 is massive in other countries. Look into like the Thailand diesel drags they got some wicked stuff over there

I'm looking forward to seeing this thing all finished!

You and I both! I'm working on it nearly everyday. It's a time consuming project. Thanks for sticking around.

Thanks man! Hopefully the rest turns out this nice.

You're going to have some people asking to buy an intake from you, it looks great.

Thanks! Unfortunately it won't fit in a truck. Hopefully it runs as good as it looks

Thanks for the update mate. The manifold looks like the engine makes way more power than it will 🤣🤣🤣 good to see you are still persisting with the R&D on the 2.8.
@breoll867 ай бұрын
At least it'll look good doing it lol
@horsehead83067 ай бұрын
@@breoll86 I’d love to see it make 1000hp if it can be done with an Isuzu 3L then I’m sure it’s possible on the 2.8 😎

Wow I am IMPRESSED by that intake manifold. That’s a beautiful piece of engineering there. Def tuning in to see where this build goes. How did you get inside the plenum to weld the bell mouth curve on the runners?
@breoll864 ай бұрын
@@MogasFox3 Thanks for watching and tuning in! Simple answer, I welded the plenum on last. The plenum is just a 4" pipe with a slot cut down the length for the runners to poke through.
@MogasFox34 ай бұрын
Gotcha, so you welded the runners from the outside, but the result of the external welding helped create some bell mouth shaping on the inside. Dude if you can make an intake manifold like that, you can make anything! 😎🤯
@breoll864 ай бұрын
@@MogasFox3 Exactly! It's easier than it looks. But it takes twice as long as you think it should.
@robm33577 ай бұрын
Wow you are very talented. You have way more patience than I do. You’re going to be putting some serious pressure on those pistons and rods and especially the crank. Have you thought about upgrades to those. How’s your truck doing? Any issues after the tuning?
@breoll867 ай бұрын
Thanks man! The only off the shelf internal upgrades that I know of are the Carrillo connecting rods. I have a set now that will be going into this motor. Truck is doing great. 105k on it now. I'll be changing the timing belt and water pump this weekend if the weather holds up. Might finally put in the 60% injectors too.

Great work! Glad you're well recovered now too. Would you consider doing an AC interchiller system? Never seen one on a diesel before! All the best!
@breoll867 ай бұрын
An interchiller setup would be very unique. I would have to find a way to fabricate everything. Let me think about that one. Thanks for watching!

Yeah I'll run the stock valve cover. But modified with larger catch cans.
