2.9 Depression (Virtual Patient)

This video is part of the second section in the edX course from "Brain to Symptom - introduction to neuroscientific psychiatry" by psychiatrist and course director Christoffer Rahm, and Karolina Sörman, Head of unit Continuing Education Center for Psychiatry Research, researcher in clinical neuroscience at Karolinska Institutet and assistant course director.
In this video you will meet Sofi. She is staying at home taking care of a newborn baby and she is feeling very depressed. In her follow-up meeting with the psychiatrist, she describes how she struggles hard to sleep at night, to eat properly and also to take care of her children. She has feelings of hopelessness and she needs help to get back on her feet and function well again.
