Ben has single handedly changed the way I view weight training. The same technique "Outward Intention" can be applied to pulldowns/chins/pullups. I've never felt my lats just explode outward. I can pulldown nearly my own bodyweight (185lbs) or so for sets. I could only manage 45 pounds doing it with that technique. My lats were sore for days haha. When he says "who cares how much i can bench, my chest is bigger than yours" it speaks great volumes to form and muscle recruitment over ego.

Hey Mike, I have a few questions: 1 When would be the best time to work out? 2 After doing certain cardio workouts, I can usually only go for about 20 min. After that I need to puke, but in about 15 min I can go again. What should I add in with my cardio days? 3 I was thinking of becoming a Personal Trainer when I get out of college. Do you have any tips or advice that helped you to start getting clients. I asked my Dad about it but he didn't totally aprove, but it is the one thing I love to do.

When I first saw a Ben video, I painted an image of him which made me label him as not genuine, and a bit showy with terminology to boost the perceived image of his intelligence. After spending the last 2 hours watching his videos, I LOVE this dude!! Very effective and smart training methods, and love the "leave the ego out the door" mentality. New fan!

I totally agree and you got to have the fire. I totally changed my physique back in my 40s when I saw I was getting soft and had less stamina. I did not like what I saw in the mirror. I took control and worked out hard and smart but never looked like Ben or Mike and that;s OK, I did my personal best and kept shooting to go past that. i am 60 now and still lift regularly. My main stays are Bench, dead lift and squat. I also do core work and do hit the arms and shoulders. I love it.

i never mentioned a bicep curl or any other exercise, but 3:40 to 3:50 he is using his shoulder predominately, to isolate the bicep and for the full range of motion of the bicep predominately the elbow shouldn't be moving, the tricep may be different but for the bicep the elbow shouldn't move

I have Ben's MI-40 program so I can answer this question. The most important thing for side delts, is to make sure that the side delt is always ON TOP when doing lateral raises. Most people externally rotate their shoulders at the top of the range and shift the emphasis to the front delts and lose tension on the side delts. Side delts are fully shortened exactly the way you would think, by raising your arms, the problem with side delts is keeping constant tension, which most people neglect to do

Hey Mike and Ben. I was wondering if you could maybe expand on the examples such as how to use the technique of pushing in/out with a dumbbell because I do not understand that concept.
