#2 Beginners Guide to Mosaic Crochet - The Charts

This is Lesson 2 in my beginners guide to the Mosaic Crochet Technique, which is a very simple but effective crochet technique with lots of possibilities. In the first lesson I showed you all the basics you need to know to then go on and make all kinds of glorious Mosaic Crochet masterpieces! And here in lesson two I show you how to work Mosaic Crochet with my user friendly charts! once you've mastered these, you can easily work all my patterns and this will hopefully open up the wonderful world of mosaic crochet to you!

Ms. Tinna, you saved the day! I was trying to make my very FIRST Mosaic Afghan and after three days of trying I thought to myself "What did I do to deserve this punishment!?" After working on it for 3 days straight and not even making it pass the first 4 rows I threw everything in the trash and accepted the fact that I will never learn this new style of crochet...The concept is interesting, but reading the chart was hell 😈! My eyes kept losing my place on the chart and the written instructions were worse! At 5: 00ish this morning I open KZbin and your thumbnail is the first one I see! I can't wait for dawn to break so I can retrieve my yarn and only the yarn from the trash. I agree Traci. Charts are nice because they are cut and dried. Todays patterns are nothing like the old days. Nowdays everyone just writes patterns however they feel like it and there is no set format which causes nothing but confusion. Some of them are like " crochet slang" and I get pretty frustrated with it all. Tinna is an amazing teacher and I am so grateful I found her channel!
