Don’t worry about bicarbonate of soda is harmless. I clean my teeth with it sometimes to get rid of stains & use it for all sorts as well as baking 💜

Good morning 🌄, the weather is starting to change. Definitions of cold are different. Kelowna, British Columbia received lots of snow 2 days ago. The streets were very slippery. Wet snow ❄️. That is Canadian cold & early! The beach is beautiful & the turquoise of the sea is stunning against the gray cloudy skies. Such wonderful footage with the puppies and their sticks. Holley dog wasn't going to be left out or I have to fetch very far! What an outrageous name for a beach! Ah what we do for ' beauty ' can truly disturb fashion ! Stuff certainly does happen. Probably so many people can relate, I know I can! Terrific fridge shelves... every square inch! You will miss Dave. Great surprise for Elizabeth! Back where you half belong . Ciao

Peroxide will remove the lipstick stains without damaging material. Great product. Soak stained area with peroxide and rub it off. It even removes blood stains and red wine. That's it.

I use bicarbonate of soda on my sisters stainless steel sink and it shines up lovely, also good with vinegar and lemon as a natural cleaner

When you get those landscape views of Tuscany in the background, it looks like a watercolor painting. Absolutely stunning!! I could never tire of that----and I find myself wanting you to stay longer in those scenes and talk more, more, more about whatever you're talking about just so I can get lost in the background. Perhaps on your experimental channel, Appertivo 50. you could just do a timelapse video of those scenes and the changing light of the day. Add a bit of music and I would watch that one again and again! As always, thanks Nicki and Carlo!

Carlo - i too - am always hungry. the music is so befitting of the day on the beach. i just adore your videos. Dave - i feel the same way about Italy! it is like living in a dream there. i watched new white linen pants with other white things and for some reason everything got stained with i have no idea what. i ended up bleaching everything in the sink by hand and it seemed to work. i feel your pain Nicki! your roses are absolutely photoworthy. and what a great fix for where the fridge is with extra shelving for storage - well done Carlo and Dave!

Great seaside shot of the beach and clouds near Catiglioncello. My husband and I spent some time on that beach and stayed at a hotel up on the cliff by the Castle. Only problem was that the train dropped us at the station nearly across the street, but when we went over to return, they said it only picked up for the return at the station 3 KILOMETERS SOUTH. We had to pick up our bags and RUN, because he was due to play music in a club an hour outside Bologna THAT NIGHT!! 😮😮😮 Crazy Day!

There is a section of the Florida Panhandle they call the Emerald coast. The sand is very white from run off from the Appalachian mountains and the water is beautiful blue or green and clear . This reminds me a little of that area.

Nicki use Dawn Platinum Plus Powerwash dish spray. Spray wherever the lipstick is at put a little warm water. Spray the zipper and scrub with warm water and a toothbrush hopefully that will do it. I this product on everything it’s amazing.

Bi carbobate is basically baking soda, not harmful , we can ingest it and bath in it . Makes tge dkin feel very soft. Also when my children were young abd had chicken pox we threw it in the tub to help draw anxiety clean the spots

I grew up and live in Solvay New York where bicarbonate soda was also made….by the Solvay Process. The plant closed after 100 years. But, many who worked there were from the Alto Adige/Trentino area and called themselves Tyroleans. Fascinating seeing a plant there also. Ugh…the lipstick in your pocket really made a mess. So sorry. Glad you were able to save some items.

All stains including lipstick - Go buy a dentures brush (unless you already have them 😉) Squirt the equivalent of the best brand washing up liquid (in UK it begins with F and has 5 letters) onto a draining board, wet the brush with WARM water 2 or 3 times whilst making a paste on the drain board. Put stained item onto board near to your paste - a very flat hard surface and scrub in all directions and circles. Sometimes you need to add a bit of warm water. It should be a runny but thick paste. Lesser washing up liquids do not work so well.

I probably would never have thought to visit a motorcycle museum, but I thought it was great! I particularly loved seeing the scooters - and laughed imagining myself zipping around Vancouver in one! The weather at the beach may not have been warm, but the water was glistening and very beautiful. And Holly sure enjoyed herself! 8 don't know if you have had any additional success removing the lipstick from the zipper in your vest, but perhaps a toothbrush would help scrub it out. I live in an apartment building, and a neighbour left either lipstick or a red crayon in their load, and some of my favourite articles had red streaks in them as a result, so I know how you felt. As always, thank you for bringing us along on your adventures!

I live in Tuscany by the sea right next to the Liguria border, today 20th of October there was 26°C. The past year I was still swimming in the sea but not this year because the weather wasn't always sunny in the last month. My sister is in Philadelphia area this days and she told me that in the early hours of the morning the temperature is about 5°C but during the day it reaches 25°C. Really a crazy wheatear

Red lipstick stain remover: apply baking soda to the stain, add a few drops of white vinegar to create a fizzing reaction, gently scrub with a brush, and then rinse thoroughly before washing as usual.

Baking soda. The most natural thing in the world. The uses are endless if you do your homework. From cooking, baking, digestive, cleaning. And now. That beach looks beautiful.
